If Ironman and It Was Written are your choices as best albums then there's nothing anyone else can say to object to that, the discussion could actually end there, unless you ask what people's favorite is.

^Not the best but one album I like of 1996. But then again I can't say there is one best of any year, just a combination of great albums with each year. Boot Camp Clik (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/08/audio-boot-camp-click-live-at-splash.html) seemed to reach an apex with this one, plus this is a great debut for Heltah Skeltah (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2009/12/video-behind-scenes-of-heltah-skeltah.html).

I happened to have some studio footage from the making of Heltah Skeltah (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2009/12/video-behind-scenes-of-heltah-skeltah.html)'s 1996 album Nocturnal (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2009/12/video-behind-scenes-of-heltah-skeltah.html), watch it here:

It's good to get opinions online at the home of Wu Tang Clan (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/09/download-wu-tang-clan-at-da-mystery-of.html), but don't let that connection take away from the real life experience of Hip Hop (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/07/hip-hop-sampling-other-hip-hop-lost-art.html). If you have a record store, concert venue or any other social place where people can teach you in the flesh, take advantage of it even more than the net. That time you spend in the streets or at a Hip Hop event will probably be more valuable in the long run that sitting here on WuCorp typing away.

I can't agree with Reasonable Doubt being better than Ironman, Hell on Earth, The Score or Illadelph Halflife. Decent list though.

Master P started No Limit in Bay Area, as far as I remember, but by '96 he was already in NO.

Anyway... My pick is Reasonable Doubt. BTW, I never liked 1996.
