Big L truly was ahead of his time. When he dropped shit it sounds like he did with little to no effort. This is just further proof why he was so great, he's like the Mickey Mantle of hip hop in ways. Mickey Mantle played his whole career injured and really never played to his full potential and made a great name for himself. Big L was only around for a few years and who knows how Hip hop would be right now if he was still around...... http://usershare.net/x1rpma7ia2c8 .... This has been around for years but this is the uncut version from Feb 23rd, 1995......

Everyone rapper has a different style like stic. from Dead Prez said. I think when it comes to the Straight Forward type of style Big L had, he was definetly the best at it lyrically, but KRS-One is the greatest, cuz of his influence and such.

Agreed.

If you don't agree you must admit that he does have the best punchlines.

Well put.... i heard that when Big L use to freestyle back in the days against other emcees, the emcees would have to leave the room because they were so pissed off and got so embarrassed by L's lyrics. Anybody know how Big L & Jay-z met eachother?
