DJ Premier said on Twitter that Nas told him the track Premo produced for him in 2004 that was meant for Streets Disciple will be on Lost Tapes 2.

Buckwild has confirmed via Twitter that he has a beat on Lost Tapes 2.

Pete Rock and Salaam Remi has also contributed to The Lost Tapes project.

But rumors are circling that The Lost Tapes 2 have been cancelled (at least from Def Jam), more updates to follow...

^^ this what I got over at the Nas forum. Also, Preemo will be on LT2 as well as Pete Rock, Salaam Remi and Buckwild!!!!!

those Def Scam faggots better not cancel this album!

nas tryin to give fans what they want, the rebel is finally out to please...

and def jam wanna block it!?!?!?!?!

lets examine...

def jam flagship artist of late = rick ross C.O. who gets video after video and fails to sell gold

def jam invested probably twice as much into deeper than rap than jadas last kiss...

jada sold just about the same... whos turning the bigger profit?!?!?!!? the veteran lyricist with a die hard fanbase...

nas went gold droppin the nigger album, just like he said he would... they werent behin d that project, he got what?!?!?! one video!?!?!?!!?

"fuck yal lil lil hoe bitches, i dont need yall, ill go gold with it"

redman been on the shelf for like 2 years now...

while playaz circle dropped, triple c's dropped, triple c's sold less than 15,000 first week...

the roots drop, get nothin in terms of promotion, video, word of mouth + late show makes the album a moderate success commercially...

big boi got nothin in terms of finance, he worked his ass off, dropped one of the illest albums of the year, and def jam couldnt even get a BIG classic outkast video popping, thats what outkast commerical success is BUILT on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wu massacre was something EVERYONE was psyched for, label didnt put any money behind it, rushed it, and released it half ass, it flopped, miserably, because die hards know a cash grab... if they had some standards, it couldve been a huge, time stilling, release, that renews interest and hope in DJ, but no....

sign shyne to 7 figure deal when he one of the wackest rappers out right now...

meth got no release date, red got no date, sheek louch got no release date...

but rick ross dropped another flop, with a ton of videos, label orchestrated appearances...

nas doesnt need a video to turn a profit, he just needs his shit in stores... def jam just doesnt get it, they have no idea what fans want, what hip hop is, and what def jam was...

theyll pump another frisbee out, and hold the niggas that built/sustained the label in limbo till the sun burns out...

ARTISTS yall dont need a label anymore!!!!!!! what can they do for you?!!?!?!?!

big boi PUSHED his own album, they didnt do shit for a legend, KISS got nothin, def jam is dead in the water...

they aint makin no money over there, bad decision after bad decision, sunken rep, clueless execs, faggot head... its a tickin time bomb!!!!!!

What's even more ridiculous about that whole thing is that now Shyne has expressed dissatisfaction with Def Jam and wants out.

You know a label's been run into the ground when a guy who had no business getting a deal says they suck and wants to leave.
