Im not making this thread asking about what yall think about Tarantino's Pulp Fiction and yall reply "dope!".

Thats why I am putting this in general Chat rather than Box Office Hideout.

Its discussions about the little details of the movie, and maybe how its related to real life.

I have a few questions to start off with:

1. Is there really such things as Kahuna Burgers? I never had one myslef. I have serched the internet, but Im still not sure. Some of these places seem like they started up after the movie was released. Have you ever had one before?

2. Another burger question....what do they call a Whopper in France? Vincent never went into Burger King there....perhaps there is a location in France and it has a name besides "Le Whopper".

3. What is your position in giving a woman a foot massage? Does it mean anything?

This is all I can think of now...I might be back.

Here's two things i got to add to the discussion. One - they say that Marceles Wallace's soul is in the brief case. He sold his soul to the devil. And that is why he has a big bandaid on the back of his neck for no apparent reason in the scene where he's telling Butch to blow the fight. Cuz there's an ancient method where they supposedly remove your soul from the back of the neck. (There's some info for the hardcore Pulp Fiction fan).

The second thing is something i noticed on my own. At the beginning when the bitch and her husband are robbing the restaurant - she gets on the table and says, "anyone moves, and i'll execute every last MOTHER FUCKING one of yous." But at the end when it goes back to that scene she says, "anyone moves, and i'll execute every last one of you MOTHER FUCKERS." What's up with that shit?

I'm just gonna give you my answer to #3.

A foot massage is a sensual activity, almost even foreplay. Would you give your mom a foot massage, no, would you give your homie a foot massage, no, would you give a girl you trying to get with a foot massage, yea, that and more! That's why dude (supposedly) threw that mofucka out a window, because he wasn't giving a foot massage in a friendly manner, no, he was looking for more.

Nice topic by the way.

Well, I'll answer #3 as well, and yes, I believe that although a foot massage is not the same as sticking your tongue in the holiest of holies as Jules said, its pretty much a bit of foreplay as Mashpg just stated. I wouldn't give my homie or a man a foot massage, that's for sure. In fact I wouldn't give another man a massage ANYWHERE but you get my drift.

Something I found funny was how Jules told that guy in the apartment how Marcellus doesn't like to be fucked by anyone except Miss Wallace. Then after the scene with Marcellus getting raped, they put that scene again but from the point of view of another guy, but you could hear Jules' speech and saying that thing about Marcellus not liking being fucked by anyone except Miss Wallace. Hilarious.

Here's a question of my own. Let's say you were in Butch's place. Once you untied yourself, would you go back for Marcellus? I must give this one a bit of thought. I think I would, but you don't know what's your mindstate in that situation.

nice topic... im affraid i would throw a mofo out the window too if they gave my girl a foot massage... prolly would have threw her ass out too!!

one thing ive always wondered and it might just be me being too analytical but.... the part were Uma's character tells Travolta's character to "Dont be a square" ... and with her fingers she makes a shape on the screen... anyone rememebr that part?
well when she makes the shape... she doesnt make a square.. she makes a rectangle. ive always wondered myself stupid with that one!!!

Man pffff....I can go on about Pulp Fiction...like for ages...what I don't get is...why isn't this in the Box Office section?????

Yeah, a Kahuna burger actually exists.

Ok, here's some other things to chew on:

Pulp Fiction Facts/fauls and secrets

-What's in the briefcase???? Actually it's nuthin' but a lamp.....that's what QT said tho...But,there wasn't supposed to be a real story behind it tho, QT let's the fans use their own imagination for that.....Some say it's the Reservoir Dogs diamonds, some say it's Marcellus wallace's soul wich got ripped out from his neck (that's why he has a band-aid in his neck). BUT, the band-aid was a coincidence tho,he had a lil' accident while shaving or sumthin' so.....Oh and ofcourse...the briefcase code was "666" wich is the sign of the devil.

-Mr.Pink in Reservoir Dogs gives out a whole speech about tipping and being a waiter, and even said he would NEVER be a waiter....Guess who serves Mia and Vince's table.....

-"Kill Zed" - A bit of a reference to "Kill Bill" already. Butch walks back up to get out of the store, but before leaving he suddenly changes his mind and turns back to grab a weaopn behind the counter. He goes for the katana.
In a VERY quick flash hutch walks past a neon board wich says "Kill Ed" altho the 'K' is broken.....
So...bam bam, he goes down, slashes up Zed, walk back up and grabs Zed's motorcycle keys from the counter wich has a big "Z". Now place the "Z" in front of the "Ed"...it'll become "Kill Zed"....Funny isn't it..."

-Check out the trunk of the Wolf's car, again in a quick flash tho....The same gasoline tank is in the trunk just like the one Mr.Blonde grabbed out of his trunk in Reservoir Dogs.

-Yeah Mr.Blonde and Vincent Vega are brothers, and no, there won't be a Vega Brothers movie.

-Another Kill Bill Reference in Pulp Fiction is Mia's lil' chat about her 15 minutes of fame as a star in "Fox Force Five" about five woman skilled with a certain weapon,...duuuuuhhh Uma Thurman obviously has the knives. Anyway, this is a reference to the "Deadly Vipers Assassination Squad" in Kill Bill.

-Bulletholes already hit the wall before the loser busts his shots in the appartment....funny ain't it.....

-And ow yeah, how ironic...Marsellus, the big man..."Does he look like a bitch?? Marsellus doesn't like to be fucked..." lol then he get's raped....

I initially had it there, but most of the discussion doesnt have to do with the actual movie, so I moved it.

How bout this.. When Travolta and Jackson bring the dead body to Quent's house during the cameo - Quent is going off about how his house does not in fact say "dead nigger storage" and he drops the 'N word' more than once. Then they imagine if his wife was to come home and see it - and it turns out that his wife happens to be black. I likes.

A Kahuna Burger is a dick sandwich.

i thought that Kahuna reffers to balls.

Remember GTA:VC where that thaitian (or mexican... whatever) said to Vercetti "Show me if you're man with the big Kahunas not with little chiquita ones"
Watched that movie a while ago but as i remember it wus Big Kahuna Burger so i understood it as sumthin like "burgers with balls" or in other words damn good burgers.
But fact is that it was only one of hundreds of little hidden jokes in that movie ;)

Big Kahuna burgers didn't exist, at least not when PF came out. They appear in most QT movies, along with Red Apple cigarettes

Those guys in GTA:VC are Cuban, and they don't say "kahunas", they say "cohones" which is the spanish word for "balls". So basically, what your'e saying there isn't gonna fly, since "kahuna" and "cohones" are two different words with no associations to each other.

But wasnt the Deadly Vipers in Kill Bill only FOUR WOMEN (Black Mamba, Elle Driver, O-Ren Ishii, Beatrix & Budd)

I dont think Quentin had even come up with the concept of Kill Bill then. That has to be coincidental.

MaskedAvenger

Tarantino & Thurman were already discussing Kill Bill during the making of Pulp Fiction so it's not definitely not a coincidence.

Q and uma conceptualized Kill Bill while filming Pulp Fiction. started as a idea said in passing, and after having fun brainstorming, it snowballed into "we gotta make this movie"
