MPC Question

I picked up an MPC 2500 as an early christmas present this year and the cf slot doesn't seem to be working too well. In order for it to read my card, i have to be pushing on the card with a fair amount of force. Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be? The pins all look fine. Also, if i get a hard drive for it, would that eliminate the need for a cf card?

You just have to manuver the card in. Don't force it...Been down that road myself.

Not sure. My 2500 is on loan from a friend that needs to do alot of upgrades. I just turn it on, make beats, transfer all kinds of drums and ish via cf.
