Because of Dicky Eklund really.....and the whole HBO special they did. I mean, the movie is as much about Dicky as it is about Micky.

Its really more about Mickys family life than boxing.

It didnt make him look like a hero at all. Just a guy with talent who went he distance with Sugar Ray, threw it all down the drain for crack and to this day still struggles with it.

Its why the focus of the movie was supposed to be Ward, but Bales performance and the story of Dick Eklund are really more intriguing.
