Both are great songs and deep and im sure like me the ODB dedication resounds the deepest (RIP) but purely off the strength off the beat?

WTC-Life Changes prod RZA

Percee P-The Woman Behind Me (Madlib remix)

Original sample used in both (RZA also used additionally 'Easiest Way To Fall' by the same artist)

My vote goes to RZA but only by a narrow margin

Peace!

I prefer RZA's version by far.

I believe rza used sample only for a chorus to set up a mood for the song but the rest is played on piano.

It's not really comparable since the songs are different.

both tracks are really great, as for the beat it's not at all impossible that Madlib flipped it better but within the context of the song i gotta give it to RZA and "Life Changes". i'm still mad Ghostface didn't make the cut though, that song (and in turn the '8 Diagrams' LP) will always be unfinnished to me.

I'm still mad at Ghostface Killah for not having a verse on "Assassination Day" when it's his own fucking song on his own fucking album

yeah that was a lame ass move on Ghost part'. Maybe it ws too emotionally difficult to do a verse for the song but considering he wasn't even originally gonna rap on the album at all and was barely on the album thats more probable.

i'd say it was a lame move on both RZA's and Ghost's part, i don't think just one of them is to blame for what happened with "Life Changes". i get the feeling they let some silly bullshit came between their tribute to their fallen brother and to me that's the worst thing that has ever happened in the world of Wu-Tang.
