check my little article and this 18-track compilation i have been wanting to do a long, long time since i'm a big fan of both jazz and hip-hop and they have much in common. it's at The Lost Tapes (http://claaa7.blogspot.com).

word i bet you gonna love this... that's how i started getting into jazz to, through samples in hip-hop and remixes, etc, now i find myself to listen to jazz almost as much as i listen to hip-hop. but it can't be just as any old ass jazz, i especially like the jazz between 1965 to 1976.

for those who wonder why "Think Twice" by Dilla is on there it is because it's a cover of trumpeter Donald Byrd's tune of the same name.

bump, i was listening to this before and i fucking love it. this should be a great introduction to jazz music for a hip-hop... Nas verse on the Miles Davis remix was hot as hell and i love the RZA remix of Charlie Mingus joint + both Diamond D remixes. fuck it, everything on it is great.
