Nuking the fridge

You may or may not have heard the phrase "Jumping the Shark", which is used to describe the point in a TV series where it reaches it's climax, and everything after is just sorry attempts to revive a show's decline. It's named after a famous episode of Happy Days where Fonzie jumps a shark on water skis. A couple of years ago the term "Nuking the Fridge" was born after the idiotic scene in Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, where Harrison Ford's character survives a nuclear blast by locking himself in a refrigerator. So what are some Nuking the Fridge moments you can think of in a film series?


Godfather 3 - Incest scene.
Alien 3 - Ridley's motherly bond with the baby alien as she falls to her death
Star Wars - Jar Jar Binks
Spider Man 3 - Peter Parker Choreographed nightmare
Matrix - visa vie, ergo, therefore it's stupid.

Go back and watch the movie. He's in the center of ground zero, everything around him is being obliterated, he rolls along in this fridge, pops out unscratched, and looks at the mushroom cloud which is now about a mile away. It's stupid.

i have seen it. it's ridiculous for sure... but i wonder...
