Medicinal marijuana hurts the legitimate attempts to decriminalise drugs.

It's on its way to decriminalized in a lot of places, but I don't think its completely decriminalized anywhere but California yet. A lot of places now less than an ounce is not an arrestable offense anymore. You just get a ticket.

^^^ the same way it's illegal to sell oxy's. It becomes regulated and owned by the pharmaceutical industry or gov't and can't exist in free trade. fuck medical I'm pro-decriminalization so I can grow and sell for diff strains.

Yeah you can already do that here in Cali if your a patient. You can grow a certain number of plants legally AND re-sell them back to cannabis clubs for profit. My boy got a nice $2500 from his strains to a nearby club where I live.

Yeah Santa Cruz was actually the 1st city/county to pass that law I believe, but the Terminator decided to sign that bill state-wide starting Jan. 1st 2011. Anyone caught with under an ounce of bud will be cited with an infraction (less then a misdemeanor), like a speeding ticket, and only possibly fined of about to $100 unless they have their legal doctor recommendation.

MA decriminalized it January 2009. Less than a ounce and its just a fine and slap on the wrist. No appearance in court.
Here's some knowledge on the states that have passed it so far:
