What's up yall, I wanted to drop this project by to see what you think. A bunch of producers got together to make weed-induced and inspired tracks, interesting concept isn't it? I thought you might be inspired by hearing this project as producers.

"Marijuana and hip-hop have been in cahoots since day one. For every Cypress Hill and Snoop Dogg, there are countless other music-making stoners promoting the ganja; they just happen to fly under the radar. A seriously funky and perpetually baked producer out of Florida, Slopfunkdust (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2011/05/slopfunkdust-presents-beat-fanatic-vol.html) has been doing his thing for many years. Heavily involved with the Beat Fanatics and Beat Society (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2011/05/slopfunkdust-presents-beat-fanatic-vol.html), he's also concocted countless freaky instrumentals for a wide array of artists. On the aptly titled Smoker's Choice (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2011/05/slopfunkdust-presents-beat-fanatic-vol.html), he enlists the help of various talented co-producers, including KHRYSIS (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2011/05/slopfunkdust-presents-beat-fanatic-vol.html), Rhettmatic (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2011/05/slopfunkdust-presents-beat-fanatic-vol.html), Nicolay (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2011/05/slopfunkdust-presents-beat-fanatic-vol.html), and Illmind (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2011/05/slopfunkdust-presents-beat-fanatic-vol.html), to assist him with his bud-themed tracks. Every selection is titled after a designer strain of weed: "Sour Diesel," "AK-47," "Granddaddy Purp," etc., and they all live up to their names, with no shortage of tripped-out loops, mid-tempo drums, and bizarro samples. "Trainwreck" adds a head-nodding beat to the infamous 911 call from a Michigan cop who ate pot brownies and believed himself dead." iTunes
