PC Problem

Spyware's hijacked my pc. i downloaded spy sweeper trying to fix it, but it's still messed up. CompUSA wants to charge 80 dollars to get rid of it and i risk losing some if not all files.

can't close the pop-ups. they keep coming and everytime i try to close one an error message pops up tellin me internet explorer found an error and has to be shut down. everytime it does taht which is a lot i have to close everything. well every got shut off by themselves really.

go to add/remove programs if you can find the spyware on there remove it, or search for it on your computer flies, or if you have anti-virus do a virus scan. then if that works get a anti-virus program, and mozilla firefox or another trustworthy internet browser.

get ad-aware....it usually gets rid of most of the spyware....you can find it at download.com

try Spybot too. also empty your history and cache in your browser.

go to microsoft.com and download their Anti-Spyware, its as good as any store bought program, and its free man

if you have got alot of time burn or put your files on a particianed hard-drive - you'll need all your motherboard cd, sound card, grafics card cd's etc. just format. i do all the time. put in ya windows xp cd and find 'New installation' it removes all ya files and re-installs windows - then you put all ya mp3's back etc. i do it a fair bit to make sure me pc is quick. if you dont have windows xp *shrug*

Yeah, You wont lose your files, (Microsoft XP version.)

After that remove IE from your comupter so it does not happen again.

I had to system restore my computer dozens of times because of IE popups.....}:T
