Haven't heard Chemistry, gotta listen to Monkey Bars more thoroughly. DangerDoom is not a top 5 of the year. Good album, but not top 5. Think Differently is the #1 spot of the year, Grandmasters with a very, very, very close #2 spot. AWOL was ill too, but gotta give it more spins. And how can you put Grandmasters in the top 5 if you haven't even hear it yet?

The Testament, haven't heard it yet lol. Was planning on doing that today when I get home. But that Mathematics album....was pretty trash man. Nothing but disappointment IMO. I can't make out who you have for that #2 spot though.

Couldn't listen to Streetlife's album for that long, it sucked ass. Haven't heard much of Sunzini's album either. From the four tracks I heard off his album...I was a tad disappointed. Black Market Militia is a good choice for this, although it may be debatable.

Correctamundo on the Math album is was shit. Hopefully Redman's "Redman gone wild thee album" will take the number one spot. Im waiting for this brother to blow my mind again. I heard a song of it called "rush the securtiy" its alright. Also heard a little of "future thugs" featuring ghost and luda sounded ok. Hope he brings that shit raw

Damn, come to think of it, alot of good albums came out this year, like Black Market, Mathematics, Think Differently, Buckshot & 9th Wonder, Sean Price, Jus Allah, DangerDoom, Grandmasters, Cormega, AZ, Little Brother, Tragedy Khadafi. I dont kno if the Streetlife & Prodigal albums were good. (good cmmercial albums too like kanye, Bennie Sigel & The Game). Good year for hip-hop. Waiting for Killah Priest's The Offerin, Tryfe's 718, Bronze Nazareth, La The Darkman, Raekown, Hell Razah, Ghostface (RZA & Meth's albums probably wont drop till 2006).

after hearing grandmasters i will place it at number 1.

i have a shortlist cuz that is what i've actually listened to this year. i've also listened to be and late registration and they are good. i'd put them at four and five. who knows, all those other albums you listed could be way better than the ones on my list. if anyone wants to PM me some albums i'll be happy to check'em out. i cant DL off p2p's cuz for some reason my computer inadvertantly cuts off when i try to use them.

I heard it, and loved it, but havn't bought it.

1. Edan - Beauty & the Beat
2. Bright Eyes - Digital Ash in a Digital Urn (not hip-hop but nyeh)
3. Cage - Hell's Winter
4. Kanye West - Late Registration
5. Common - Be

I havn't bought Grandmasters on Think Differently yet, one of them would probably knock Common out of number 5 but I'd need to hear first. Grandmasters would probably put Kanye down a place too, but I don't think it would be as good as those top 3.
