I mean, Aiight X aint never gonna be who he was on the first 2 joints but he's never really fallen off, its been mostly beat selection since The Great Depression, otherwise you basically get the same energy, same message, same attitude on every album minus the first 2 which were a bit darker....... I could see it getting boring but he never really stopped delivering what he's known for

never heard this before till tonight

this thread got me thinking how long it was since I've actually listened to any of his music, and how much I fucking miss it - didn't realize until now...
DMX always came correct, his first 5's top charted, he was raw, brutally honest, modest, religious, street... you name it.
his ability to really deliver his thoughts in a straight and honest way, whether he'll do it agressively or not, I'd say that gotta be one of his biggest talents.
now, that freestyle was heavy! gave me chills down my spine when he barked "ruff ryders" at the beginning, nostalgia feeling lol :D
flex fucked it up, I agree!
also the song that Bronze Feet posted, I've never heard it before neither. damn it was good! props for that one bro'! :)

DMX first 5 albums get regular spins in the player for me. especially in the summer time
DMX single handedly made street anthems popular. i dont give a fuck. every album had a anthem on it, and people ate it up.
even the shit he did for soundtracks was raw as fuck.
the realest emcee alive
