on par with any G RAP solo material...
every verse was sick and the beats were HOT....
just shows how dead HIP HOP culture REALLY is...
no respect...
bloggers will gas gay rappers like kendrick lamar with a gay rap voice and trash beats before giving it up to a 20 year veteran who will still murder any rapper in 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://therapup.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Kool-G-Rap-Riches-Royalty-And-Respect.jpg
theres one song id skip and its at the tail end...
G RAP covered the bases and made a COMPLETE album...
if there was a better written album last year i didnt hear it....
story raps, concept joints, straight spitting joints...
murdered an ALC beat, murdered a MARLEY MARL banger...
and was able to get HOT beats from lesser name producers...
dropped a well rounded, polished LP, on a budget... LIKE ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not ONE gay electro trance beat...
not ONE wack lyric...
its no wonder it fell on deaf ears...
id argue its G RAPS most diverse solo album...
so many different flows, topics, styles...
G RAP is so consistent that rap as a whole fell off before he did...
replay value is off the charts and the album gets better with time.........
0zPKFlKJU4o
hot samples, hot flips, hot flows, hot lyrics...
HOT album!!!!!!!!!
got enough plays for me to determine the project a CLASSIC...
not an album you can download and play once and really appreciate...
sit down and enjoy a quality meal for once...
i suggest anyone that overlooked it to revisit it with fresh ears...
beats wasn't all that. some of them made me jizz my pants though

Word, you're dead on point as usual.
I especially agree about it being some of if not his most diverse solo material.
Good range of subject matter, great experimentation with flows and cadences, and a laid back, confident masterful delivery.
Giancana sounds smoove as butta throughout most of th album.
KGR said he was reinvigorated and put full focus into writing, recording and perfecting the entire package with this one.
And damn if it doesn't sound that way, the first few tracks on the album made me go "Whoa, that's G Rap? He sounds like a young, hungry MC with a point to prove!"
I'm so looking forward to the KGR/Necro album.
Assassination, mutilation, dump the body in a mulcher, then burn the menstration....type music.
It's gonna be game over for these Disney Channel rap toys.

RICHES,ROYALTY,RESPECT IS G RAP's BEST ALBUM SINCE 4.5.6. EASILY.
people been kinda shitting on this joint and kinda dismissing it.
fuck all that. this shit is dope as fuck.
good to hear g rap still smokes these mc out here. an o.g. schoolin the new kids.
albums replay value is crazy. and no "club bangers" or other non-hip hop bullshit.
and you can hear that g rap still lives a real hood life, unlike most rappers.
solid 8 out of 10. (if not a 9)
kool g rap = greatest of all time.

This album being slept on is fucked up on so many levels. I admit, i havent listened to this in about a month, it took me a few listens to get used to the beats. G Raps lyrics are about as good as it gets. He can make a whack beat into a classic song. People just don't care about good rappers anymore, they're all brainwashed by whats on the radio.....damn. Def top 10 albums of the year, even i slept for bit. Thanks for waking me up on this album.

although G Rap was fire on it, the production really lacked. I dont know why he feels the need to give "up-n-comers" a shot on a LEGEND'S album. Besides the production heavy weights it fell flat.

Yeah I gotta confess, I'm one the clowns who slept on this album. I have a copy of it but never really gave it a proper listen, mainly because I didn't really feel too much music this year and was never in the mood, I honestly think there was about 5 albums I liked this year that were worth paying for. I'm a have to check this out properly when I'm in the mood.

I revisited the album again while reading this thread yesterday and I realized that I flat out love every track.
I can understand angry!'s point about Da Real Thing being the lowest point on the LP, but for me even that track is extremely enjoyable.
I can see the beat and the chorus not being everyone's thing and it was probably the rhymes he spent the least time on throughout the making of the album, but none of those things are critizisms cuz the track bangs IMO.
I like the way he uses that pimpish accent in the first verse and then he brings the flow back to the G Rap we all know and love on the second verse.
And if that track is the worst on the joint then that speaks extremely well to the quality of the album.
Side note: I am also looking forward to the KGR/ALC album, that will be absolutely murderous.

section 80 shits on any kool g rap release in the past decade
Really?
I guess for myself it a just a preference of style. There's something honest and real (for lack of a better term) about G Rap that speaks to me. It's street music. It's grown man music. I think the generation that actually grew up with these rappers can appreciate their music more.
Anyways, also not to me missed are G Raps 2 previous EPs, Half a Klip and Offer You Can't Refuse. On the Rise Again is an amazing Premo track with vocals by Haylie Duff of all people! And I can't believe Scareface Snow wasn't on Riches.

'riches royalty respect' and 'section 80' both ain't classics. also neither of them are particularly original. stop exaggerating you twats.
