I'd say exclude obvious choices like Fight Club, Breaking Bad, Dexter. The genre doesn't matter, just quality.
I'd say Donnie Darko. If you watch the director's cut it's easier to digest and understand, or at least the clues are more evident. It's a cult, indy movie, so if you're not a fan of that kind of stuff maybe avoid it. It's not your standard indy bs movie, like Greenberg starring Ben Stiller.. which wasn't too bad but not really worth watching.
I got my hands on the ben stiller show, I'm gonna peep it. It's a sketch comedy show. I think Jerry Stiller is in it too.
For a tv show, I like Californication. It's not as good as Weeds at it prime, but it's a hell of a lot better than Hung. Not a great show, but decent.
I've been trying to watch a lot of Scorsese shit recently, his earlier works like boxcar bertha, the age of inncence, mean streets. Somewhat hard to track down but some of it's on netflix. Goodfellas/Casino is a great debate as to which is better, but they are both among my favorite movies. I want to see where he came from to get to his peak as a filmmaker/producer/director.
