Following sightings of actor Robert Downey Jr. arriving to the Wilmington, NC set today, Comic Book, locals of the area, have scored minor details regarding the production of Iron Man 3. In addition to revealing that vehicles with "Miami Police Department" logos embellished on them were spotted being unloaded, CB adds:

"Those that did get a glimpse inside [the Cape Fear Club] reported seeing extras dressed in military uniforms and suits. The extras in suits were described as looking like Secret Service men." The site also claims that a source "involved with the production" reassured them that The Mandarin is "definitely" the villain. He said Mandarin had a set of twins that did most of his dirty work for him. Another source who had visited EUE/Screen Gems Studios told us that the sets they were building included Chinese storefronts."

Filming for Iron Man 3 will proceed for two months in different areas of Wilmington, North Carolina, before the production crew moves to China. One of those areas in NC is said to be the Wilmington International Airport.

Described as a “technological crisis thriller,” set in the world of international war, arms & terror, Marvel Studios' “Iron Man 3” stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Andy Lau, Ashley Hamilton, James Badge Dale, with Sir Ben Kingsley and Jon Favreau. Shane Black (“Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”) takes over directorial duties from Jon Favreau, who helmed the first two “Iron Man” films. Principal photography will occur primarily in North Carolina and China. And “Iron Man 3” is set for release in May 3, 2013. "

"Marvel Studios' third Iron Man movie (which is described as "a huge tech-James-Bond-thriller") is currently filming in Wilmington, North Carolina, and now we have some more info on what we can expect from the threequel's villains (played by Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce). Latino Review, who has been doing a great job of revealing exclusive details on the film's production, has confirmed that (possible spoilers) that Kingsley will be playing none other than The Mandarin (despite Marvel's denying that the character will make an appearance). Yesterday, we heard that Mandarin will be the villain, but that there will be 'twins' who work for him. However, Latino Review is saying that this isn't true.

Additionally, the site says that Mandarin won't have as big of a role as Aldrich Killian (played by Guy Pearce), who is said to be the primary antagonist of the film. Killian is the man who invents "Extremis" and an "Extremis army". Lastly, William Sadler's reps and Marvel both said "No Comment" when asked about the actor's involvement "
