their first album was okay but not to their potential. it was too much rock-rap shit. this sounds a lot more traditional grimey beats. i'm looking forward ot this.

? i dunno

It's not as big as some people make it seem.

The dissolution of their working relationship was due to creative differences and career goals.

Necro is cool with just staying in his own lane and having his platform to get his music to the fans that enjoy it for what it is, without having to change it because of industry politics and whatnot.

While Bill wants to branch out, form solid connections and and leave a mark on the game as a prolific and somewhat versitile MC.

Sure, there was some shit talk here and there and probably a little dust up, but that's bound to happen amongst brothers.

Both Necro and Bill have stated in the past that Bill has a CD with 7 unused Necro beats that he would use on his next solo LP.

Whether or not that happens remains to be seen.

Yeah, circa 2007 or '08 I believe, if not even more recently.

But Bill might decide to entirely self-produce the Grimy Awards, we don't know yet.

must not have realized that......
3RD BASS = REAL NIGGAZ!!!!

3rd bass were not only smart & dope mcs, they put DOOM on.
serch helped nas get signed. first crackers in hip hop that got over the classification of "white rappers" and were just considered dope hip hop.

and distancing himself from necro was the smartest thing ill bill did. he always was the dopest mc in that camp. now hes doing music with dope hip hop acts that arent considered gimmicky, like necro.

On a related, 6 degrees of separation note...MC Serch is the person that first discovered Non Phixion and tried to get them a deal in the late 90's.

That partnership didn't work out well and they parted ways, but it deserves a mention since you bring up 3rd Bass and what they done for Hip-Hop.

And yes, ILL BILL was the dopest MC in the Psycho+Logical camp, but you'd be hard pressed to find a collaborative effort with Bill involved where he doesn't take shines.

There are maybe a few exceptions, but not many.

^Your right, NaS was rolling with SerchLight entertainment in the early 90's.

I overlooked that one, keen observation.

MC Serch put a gang of dope mofo's on, that was his true talent.

im just wishing this case of penis envy you have against me would end. its been long enough.

i know you have held it against me that my thick, veiny woman pleasing member would always make you feel insignificant as a sexual being. but that was a long time ago.

let it go, and maybe we can be close like we used to be, stepson.

i fuckin love you, man. damn!

nah, Large Pro and Nas goes back a long time.. Extra-P even produced Nas two tracks demo that he shopped to various labels, and he had attended recording sessions for Kool G Rap, Rakim and Main Source already through Large. it was abovementioned demo that MC Serch heard and convinced Faith Newman to sign him to Columbia, and then Serch and Faith acted as executive producers of "Illmatic".

Serch also had a hand in OC's early career.. there's an official remix of "Back to the Grill" that has both Nas and OC on it over a totally different T-Ray beat. pretty sick
