was hoping for a trailer! Dunno about the 3D gimmick but I'll definatly give this a watch. The 2003 version was one of the better remakes imo

what is this, supposed to be a sequel ? the first remake was a reboot of the original and the 2nd one was a prequel. whats this joint ?

EDIT : just checked imdb and its supposed to a sequel to the original 74' TCM, picks up right when the film ends with Leatherface wildin out with the chainsaw outside on the road.

in that case, looking forward to this one as the original TCM is my fav horror flick of all time.

you know the great thing about old horror films... they used actors you don't know and didn't cast singers and rappers in the film

The original Toby hooper movie was not only a great horror movie, it was a great piece of film making. I disregard all the other sequels as a separate intiety. Going to ignore this cash in knockoff just like the rest of the remake remakes.

the 2003 remake by Marcus Nispel wasnt a bad film, it pays homage to the original 2004 version [having the same cinematographer & narrator as the original] and revolves around the original plot and adds its own twists to it that were witty.

the 2006 prequel was horrible however, with a different director and writers than the 03' remake.

Of all the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies, the 1994 one with Matthew McConaughey
was definitely the worst.

In the opening scene, Bill Moseley, who portrayed Chop Top in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, portrays Drayton Sawyer, the cook from the first two films.

Marilyn Burns, who played Sally Hardesty in the original film, plays Verna in this. This film and Butcher Boys (2012) were Marilyn's first movie roles in 28 years (excluding an uncredited Cameo in Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation).

Gunnar Hansen, who portrayed Leatherface in the 1974 film, portrays a relative, Boss Sawyer, in the beginning of the film. This marks the first time Hansen has returned to the series since the initial film. In interviews, Hansen has said that he has been approached before but was never offered a salary that would entice him to return.

John Dugan, who portrayed Grandpa in the 1974 film, reprises his role in the opening scene of this film.
