not sure. the producer, Brian Grazer, fired him. ironically he's the same dude who hired Spike to direct Inside Man

lol @ the title of the article being 'white director takes over'. That rolling out site sounds mad with fingers snapping.

it doesn't matter that a white director took over. what matters is that a shitty director took over. Spike already proved he can make a great biopic with Malcolm X. the producer is just chicken shit and took the safe route

don't forget that it's also a white director.

they should just make a movie about the making of the movie.

it should be directed by the hughes brothers

channing tatum as tate taylor

Ya, I'm thinking he may have opened up his mouth about some race talk instead of keeping his opinions to himself.

Spike already has the Michael Jackson documentary (Bad 25) coming out on Thanksgiving, and he's directing the remake of the South Korean film Oldboy (awesome movie!), and he's supposedly making a sequel to Inside Man

still, this movie is going to suck without Spike directing it. too many Spike haters out there. the dude can direct, don't give a shit about his politics

I don't mean to diss Spike because i like him but he needs to stop making movies. He hasn't done a good movie in a long time. Summer Of Sam i thought was his last decent movie. I think if he did the James Brown movie, he would do a good job because Malcolm X was excellent.
