What do you make of the fact that a "black mirror" is an occult scrying device? Why would they name this tv show after that?

Black Mirror is a British television drama series created by Charlie Brooker (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Brooker). The series is produced by Zeppotron (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeppotron) for Endemol (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endemol). Regarding the programme's content and structure, Brooker noted, "each episode has a different cast, a different setting, even a different reality. But they're all about the way we live now and the way we might be living in 10 minutes' time if we're clumsy."[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mirror_%28TV_series%29#cite_note-guardian_a-1)
An Endemol press release describes the series as "a hybrid of The Twilight Zone (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Twilight_Zone) and Tales of the Unexpected (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_of_the_Unexpected_%28TV_series%29) which taps into our contemporary unease about our modern world", with the stories having a "techno-paranoia" feel.[2] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mirror_%28TV_series%29#cite_note-2) Channel 4 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel_4) describes the first episode as "a twisted parable for the Twitter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter) age".[3] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mirror_%28TV_series%29#cite_note-3) Black Mirror Series 1 was released on DVD on 27 February 2012.[4] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mirror_%28TV_series%29#cite_note-4)
In November 2012, Black Mirror won the Best TV movie/mini-series award at the International Emmys (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Academy_of_Television_Arts_and_Scien ces).[5] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mirror_%28TV_series%29#cite_note-5)
Announced on 12 July 2012,[6] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mirror_%28TV_series%29#cite_note-6) the second series began broadcasting on 11 February 2013. Like the first series, it is made up of three episodes with unconnected narratives.
Robert Downey, Jr. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Downey,_Jr.) has optioned the episode The Entire History of You, to potentially be made into a film by Warner Bros. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warner_Bros.) and his own production company Team Downey.[7] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mirror_%28TV_series%29#cite_note-7)
