I've only seen Silence of the Lambs. I have heard that Manhunter is good too?

yeah, manhunter isn't bad.
michael mann flick, no hopkins as lecter though.

watch lambs & red dragon for the hopkins hannibal. red dragon's pretty much the same story as manhunter, but with hopkins as lecter.

the "hannibal" movie was just too over the top hollywood for me, personally.

and i made it about 15 minutes into "hannibal rising" until i had to turn it off.

^^ yeah pretty much.. Manhuter was the first movie adaptation from Thomas Harris' novel Red Dragon which came out before Lambs. Red Dragon was pretty good IMO, a Brett Ratner joint, i like the way Lectoe's back story was portrayed. and i think Hannibal was underrated. for a film with complete different crew except Hopkins, they did a pretty good job. the subtle sexual tension Lecter builds with Clarice is great and not to mention Ray Liotta being open minded [pun intended] LOL

Hanibal is dope, I liked it much better than Red Dragon, Hannibal Rising is wack though.

True rising was kinda booty, lambs n red dragon, dont recall seeing manhunter.

Manhunter is a better film than Red Dragon; it's superior cinematically and Brian Cox is genuinely creepy as Hannibal Lecter

I like Manhunter and Lambs; the others are mediocre

yeah, those pusher movies are brutal.

and i agree that red dragons pretty average, it was just good seeing the origins of lecter played by hopkins.

NBC won't air episode 4 of Hannibal which involves kids killing kids, cause of Boston bombings?

04-21-2013, 04:01 PM
if they wont air it, they should at least have it on their site so ppl can stream it.

Season 2 of Hannibal premiere's Friday 10/9c on NBC.

Michael Pitt as Mason Verger. This should be a good addition to the cast as he was pretty dope in Boardwalk Empire.

Hanibal is dope

"Hannibal" might be my favourite out of the 3 in all honesty.

"Red Dragon" is serious as well.

It's a pretty overlooked trilogy.

^^ that's what I think

hannibal has amazing atmosphere thanks to scenery

I've never read The Silence of the Lambs book, but they've reversed the storyline compared to the movie in Season 2. Will Graham is in prison and Hannibal goes to him for advice.

This weeks episode was pretty gruesome, showing Hannibal cutting through body parts on a Jigsaw machine.

I was a little disappointed with Manhunter, now that I saw it. The atmosphere and mood were on target and the music was real good, though it just seemed a little tedious and slow to get going. The tall serial killer dude was definitely creepy and a good fit, but I didn't think that the guy playing Hannibal was that interesting in his role. The main character CSI dude was intriguing and Dennis Farina is an OG, I would have just liked to see the movie expanded upon more.

By the way, when the tall dude was watching and thought that the blind woman's co worker was giving her a kiss, but he was only brushing something off her face, what was it? lol A flower blossom? I couldn't tell what he said.
