View Full Version : Madvillain vs Danger Doom

For those who copped both cd's, which one are you feeling more? Right now I can't afford to cop both so I have to make a decision. From the snippets I heard Danger Doom seems like more of a cohesive album since it doesn't contain any skits and instrumentals like Madvillainy. What's everyone's thoughts on which is better?

Dangerdoom is definitely a good album, but as a cohesive album, I think the skits even add to the cohesiveness of Madvillian. Its a great album, Dangerdoom's production is really good, but Im gonna give it to Madvillian. Months from now when I listen to Dangerdoom some more, I might change my mind but Doom and madlib are a good match

I just recently bought Danger Doom... never heard the other. I do know that the production is pretty nice. As far as skits, Danger Doom has a lot of Cartoon Network Adult Swim characters on there babblin' about a whole bunch of nonsense.

Danger Doom: Pretty Good Album
Madvilliany: Never Heard It

Both are dope albums but "Mad Villiany" is the superior album.

No doubt that DangerDoom is a dope album but imo MADVILLIANY is one of the best albums of recent years , i can listen to most of the songs with the exclusion of a couple of skits over and over and each time still vibe off it !

yeah, madvilliany takes it, only just though. my only complaint is the shortness of the tracks but apart from that its dope. i think i gave it 8.5 in the recent purchase thread. dangerdoom would get 8/10.

DangerDoom is aight, but Madvilliany is classic. It was the 1st Doom album I heard & it was the shit.

They're both great. Dangerdoom is a bit more 'fun' I think in it's sounds. Madvillain is probably better though...
Either way you'll be getting a good CD.
