These are both great movies directed by Zhang Yimou. Personaly I don't know which one I prefer.

hofd was boring it was just a zhang ziyu film that lacked character the whole film consept was drawn around her being in the film

hero had promised but it failed to live upto what it looked like becoming a great film

i'd say hero but i prefer the older films over these

I don't think either one is close to Crouching Tiger. I thought Hero was a waste of time. So I prefer Dying Faggers in this thread.

For originality I choose "House Of Flying Daggers" cause we all saw story lines like "Hero" before (Usual Suspects,Rashomon,...)
But Hero is a GREAT flick tho, it's very hard to choose, I think i'll stay with Daggers

I only recently watched Hero and thought it was a great film, i really enjoyed it. I havent watched House Of Flying Daggers yet though.

Damn! Those are two great flicks...but, I gotta go with House of flying daggers...the scenery is amazing and I love the story line.

Thanks for reminding me of that movie...I think Imma go rent it.

There was no kung-fu in it! Just a bunch of flashbacks and colors and wallpaper being thrown acroos the screen. Joint was dumb. I felt violated i paid my money to see this crap
