You live in the middle ages, and you've been accused for stealing something so you get the death penalty.
You're in a dark tunnel standing behind a line of people that are waiting to be executed.
At the end of the tunnel there are two identical twins, each of them is standing behind a door. One door is the door to freedom, behind the other there's a guy standing there waiting to behead you. You get to choose which door you will walk through.
One of the twins always tells the truth, and the other always tells lies.
You have to find out which one is the door to freedom, you get to ask one question to one of the twins.

hrm am I looking at it wrong or couldn't you just ask either one any obvious question? Like are you two twins? Either answer would obviously tell the two apart - and you already know freedom is behind the truth door.

I would ask if water is wet if it is the truth teller he would say yes if it is the liar he would say something like water is as dry as the desert so if he/she says yes im with him/her if he/she says no then im going with the other
