I was really impressed with this movie! Besides Martial Arts movies I normally don’t watch foreign language films, so I’m glad I gave this one a chance. You go into it thinking it's just going to be this revenge flick and then it sort of turns into a mystery/thriller/drama and then, well, I'm not going to ruin it for anyone who hasn't watched it yet... The only thing else I'll say is it's a must see movie for anyone who appreciates really fucked up twisted stories!

yeah, Oldboy is the 2nd film from CWPark's Revenge Trilogy. However, the story doesnt connect from film to film. its just 3 movies with completely different plot with a similar theme.

I saw it on Sundance or IFC a while back. Creepy, this flick is way more of everything than you'll see in American film, even most independent film.
Check out "Chopper" to, it's from Australia and it's sick. But yeah Oldboy is the ****!

yeah, well the tongue scene first used in Ichi The Killer but Oldboy's was more suspensful which made it more effective. the scen in Ichi The Killer is much more gorey and shows you everything. i prefer leaving certain things to the viewer's imaginations.

i agree, i copped the movie over summer, and i watched it about 6 times within the 2 weeks, its amazing... i got into foreign flicks because of this, the others in the series are good, but they cant measure up to this one... shit is bananas.. check it out!
