That area has been occupied by so many over the centuries and thousands of years.

It was originally called the Land of Canaan.

Palestinian's heritage is mixed of all kinds of different tribes in that area...I am talking about the original Palestinians. Some palestinians can even link their lineage back to Jewish tribes in that area and other tribes like the Canaanites,Jebusites,Philistines,Hittites,etc...

Ancient History of Palestine

I got this information from a Palestinian based website:
http://www.palestinehistory.com/

Here is also another site: http://www.palestinecenter.org/palestine/history.html

You will get different information and perceptions of history looking at palestinian or Israeli sources. But,I give you Palestinian sources because most pro-Israeli sources try to deny our existense or twist it around.

Good luck with the assignment!

Bread was the main staple of Palenstanians diets, hence the prayer-

give us this day, our daily bread.

PEACE... todays palestinian people are likely a mixture of turks (middle ages), edomites (roman period), authentic arabs (islams early reign), and authentic israelites (looking like the children of the ethiopians..going way back)
