Find another way to get it than to pay for it.

Although I will say this: as much as I don't like that album, there is one really good song on there, one of my all-time favs. THE TABLE. It's an incredible song on an otherwise piss poor album.

A lot of people didnt really like this album but to me it was pretty decent. Of course its not a "cuban linx" but its good in its own way. It had some great tracks like..."Yea Yo"... "Casablanca"..."Live in NY" ..and my personal favorite...."Sneakers"...that beat is dope as hell and Rae killed it!!! I would pick this over "The Lex Diamonds Story".

Go buy the acapella version of this album (if there is such a thing?).
Short review: weak production (except for Live From NY, Casablanca and The Table), great lyrics by Raekwon.

LOL @ the guy praising RZA's production on this album. RZA did jack shit on this album.l

I don't know why this albums gets so much hate. I know that none of the beats on that album compare to what RZA produced in Cuban Linx, but most of them are aight and good.

I liked most of the album but i gotta admit that it has some HORRIBLE tracks.

I'll give that album a 7/10.

am i the onlt one who thinks that "sneakers" is a highly slept on track with ill production and tight rae lyrics?

i gotta agree. Sneakers is the best track but the album is wack. Not what you would expect from Raekwon. I think his verses were sup par. If you compare it to some of the stuff he was saying on the Wu's collective tracks at the time, you would swear that there were 2 different emcees.

The album also suffers not just from a lack or Rza beats but a lack of Wu-type beats altogether. rae tries to go for a different approach to gain a bigger audience but fails.

He sorted himself out a little bit when he released "the smith bros".

my favorite songs are the table with masta killa and that joint with meth, the rest came out of an ass

can i ask the people who rated this as excellent, if you ranked this album amogst all the other Wu albums where do you think it would fit?

Its just a lot less than we would expect from the Wu and Lexx Diamonds.

I think every review it got backed up this idea.

Immobilarity would be Raekwon's best album if he didn't set the bar so fuckin' high on Cuban linx.

Hmm.. Funny, you could also say that this is Rae's worst album if he didn't set the bar so fuckin' low with Lex Diamond Story.

But anyway, I like Immobilarity. As somebody said earlier, I think that people hate on it due to the lack of Wu-production.. Dope album anyways...

This album is like 7,5/10 (Rae's lyrics & flow were 10/10 but beats only 5/10). The Table is one of my best tracks ever (the only one beat on this album which desrves 10/10). Other tracks that're dope: Casablanca, Jury, Live From New York, Sneakers & Friday. Some beats were just terrible, like on Fuck Them... It was a shame that two rap legends, Rae & Meth, had to spit over such cheesy beat. Overalll, Raekwon's rap was classical on this, but production pretty fucked up Immobilarity.

Shit Is damn near classic.... I'm bored I'll review

Intro

Yae Yo
This shows where Raekwon is now on the lyrical tip, but I'm just not feeling this beat at all, this could've been switched up or taken off the album, not a good way to start up after a classic album. 3/5

Casablanca
Now Raekwon should've started the album off with this joint right here, pure fire, he's telling a story that was kinda hard to catch because his lyrics has evolved on this album. The beat is mad fire and the hook is the icing on the cake "Wise niggaz wake up, dead niggaz lose, who you gonna choose, me or him you's a fool, pay attention, fuck around me detention, see you in the next dimension you niggaz didn't listen". 5/5

100 Rounds
"Wu-Tang emblem, success make a nigga tremble, 9 of us stand 9 resemble" "You's a student fucking with a principle". Just some of my favorite lines on this joint right here, the beat is a real bass knocker. Lyrics are so on point it doesn't make sense, the hook on this joint is classic too. Raekwon is showing he can go 100 rounds by himself. 5/5

Real Life
This is another one of Raekwon's tales, seems like Masta Killa had a little problem. Great story telling which includes the clan so you gotta wonder what happens next, beat accompanies the story real well. Everything is on point. 5/5

Power
This track is a banger, nothing too special though, Raekwon starts it off great and then Twiz, although Superb does rip this joint after his verse it's gets boring. 3.5/5

Skit

All I Got Is You Pt.II
This is a wack song right here. The beat is annoying and wack, I can't sit through this joint, and the singing isn't all that good either, I'm just not feeling this at all. I understand who the track is for but I'm just not feeling it. 2/5

Jury
This is a banger right here, don't sleep on this track, raekwon comes hard throughout the whole track, the beat is cool too. the singing is even bad everything flows well on this joint. You can just tell how much progress lyrically he's made. 4/5

Fuck Them
This has to be the most simple beat I've ever heard but this shit is still hot, something about it makes me keep it on, maybe Raekwon's dope verses, although Method Man played around on this joint right here, it still came out good. 4/5

Skit 2

Live From New York
"Came through bumping nothing but Wu, the crowd Blitzed him" Classic, enough said. 5/5

My Favorite Dred
A little story, you know how it goes down in the drug game, beat is cool, nothing really too special about the track, but it's not bad either.
3.5/5

Friday
I like this joint right here, a fast paced track you can tell something is about to go down so you just waiting to see what's going to happen and Raekwon just takes you through on this one. 4/5

The Table
This joint right here is crazy, Raekwon just goes in but Masta Killa sounds like a true poet on this joint, just mad crazy and the beat accompanies them so well, it's just some classic shit. 5/5

Sneakers
Raekwon hitting ya'll with his different styles on this track right here, you all should know what the track is about. Pete Rocks beat is crazy aswell, a nice combination. 5/5

Raw
I might get hate for this one but I'm kind of feeling this shit right here, something about it is just dope. Everyone is flowing on here well, it just has a good vibe to it. 4/5

Pop Shit
I'm not feeling this joint at all on here, I think this is the 2nd weakest track on the album, I don't know what Raekwon was thinking on this one but it was a bad move. 1/5

Heart to Heart
I'm not feeling this joint AT ALL this is the weakest track on this album, I don't know why Raekwon would choose to end a dope album so bad, this really fucked up the vibe of the album. 1/5

Forecast
It's mostly shoutouts so I won't rate.

Outro

Lyrics - 5/5
Beats - 4/5
Overall - 4/5

Raekwon is lyrically in his prime on this album, some tracks were just really bad choices on here. He has some great shit on here though don't get me wrong though, Raekwon is chewing and spitting niggaz out on here, No Ghostface was kind of a letdown though. ****Overall 4/5****

It always amazes me when people claim how good this album is. This was the first album where Wu started following trends instead of innovating them and the result was one of the biggest disappointments they've had. People don't hate on it bc it's not OBFCL, they hate on it bc it's sub par. Some of the negative points are lost if you weren't there when it came out. The most glaring failure of the album was Pop Shit. At the time Swizz Beats was blowing up and this beat is just a horribly obvious bite of his style. That's not what Wu was about but was the beginning of them getting lost and trying to ride off of what was hot at the time instead of staying true to what got them famous. There are some great tracks on the album:

The Table
Real Life
Jury
Live From NY
MY Favorite Dread
Sneakers

The rest are sub par to average at best. Casablanca is ok but the fact that the beat to it and 100 rounds are almost identical and they are back to back is ridiculous. Fuck Them is just a horrible beat with an even worse hook. Power would be ok if not for horrible verses from ACT especially the line about "getting head from rock stars" WTF???

It's not a horrible album bc the good tracks are great but there's too much garbage and uncreative crap. When it came out it was a shock to everyone how bad a Wu album could be.

^^ I remember how much hate this album got when it arrived but I always loved this shit from day one. it does not sound like a Wu-Tang album but that does not mean it's wack, it's better than the previous solo albums Golden Arms Redemption, Nigga Please and Uncontrolled Substance. you gotta acknowledge that Raekwon fucking peaked on this album, at the time I thought NO other member of the Wu could fuck with him when it comes down to lyrics. Flow, metaphors, improved slang and story-telling is all perfected on this joint.. It's a shame some real wack beats got in the mix though, but delete about 4 beats and you have a crazy nice LP... nevermind, with or without it IS a crazy nice LP.

I listened this album just for a 3 times, when I get it, and 2 more, one tonight....

Well it is right album to hear it from time to time, but in longer time period of couple of months.........

It is far too from OB4CL, but still, it is OK album............

Let's say 5/10

all those albums were dope man c'mon immobliarity is a fly album for any mood with songs as "Casablanca" and "Yae Yo" to "100 Rounds" to "Sneakers", etc. c'mon this album plus the two that came out around that time were some fire shit

^^ I didn't mean that the other albums were wack, I'm just saying i liked "Immobilarity" most out of the bunch when it came out. They were all good albums but at the time they was released most thought they was dissapointing.

it's a good album just aint on the same level as cuban linx. My favorite joint is 100 rounds he kills that shit. "blow lines like chimes in the kitchen" It's got acouple weak beats like fuck them but it's a solid album so is lex diamond rae never dropped a wack album. cuban linx was like a gift and a curse for his career.

Since OB4CL2 is this year, I figured Id do a review on his slept on sophmore album, which was doomed, since it followed one of the most beloved Hip hop albums of all time.

1) Intro: The asian instrument that they used in he beginning should have played alone, without Rae talking that ‘’This is really based on politics’’ bullshit, Just said nothing like Meth did on Tical. Then the beat that starts at :58 could go in, and Rae could spit a few bars then go into track 2.
6/10 since they ruined it with the talking

2) Yae Yo: The beat is amazing, and the only thing missing is what A lot of these tracks are missing, A Ghost face appearance. Also, It was too short.
8/10

3)Casablanca: If I didn’t know, I would have thought Rza did the beat, but he didn’t. I like the lyrics, and its like Rae was in rare form here.
7/10

4) 100 Rounds: The beat is missing something, Even years ago when I copped this, I always thought this beat could have had more to it. I KNOW, Ghost face. But lyrically, This is one of Raes best on this album
7/10

5) Real life: The hook is repetitive, BUT I like it, It could have been a Wu song if he wasn’t being stingy with the appearances.
8/10

6)Power: Ft American Cream Team, I almost NEVER like crews of most people. They tend to be nothing more than typical local rappers that the person who made it said would put them on if they made it. Hence A.C.T, And with them being the rare guests of this mostly solo album. They kinda ruined this song. The beat is pretty basic too
5/10

7)Skit: The skit was dumb, but most skits are

8)All that I got it you part 2: The fact that he did this is cool, I wont lie. It was pretty tough, but it didn’t do what the original did, It didn’t touch me.
7/10

9) Jury: One of the best Beats on the album, It was begging for either Masta killa or U-god to lace it with Rae, but as I stated before, he didn’t have many people on here. Lyrically one of his best, period. The hook is great as well, it could have got him radio play.
9/10

10) Fuck them: Ft Method Man. This is probably the only true ‘’Wu’’ song on the album. The hook is great, and you can tell the beat took rae back to the classic Rza type era, though Rza didn’t make it. Meths verse is mint as usual
9/10

11) Skit 2: It was moderately funny.

12) Live from NY: This was the first and I think only single of the album, and it deserves it. The beat is amazing, and EASILY could have fit on the purple tape. Lyrically you can tell he was going for radio play.
9/10

13) My favorite Dred: The song was about a minute to short, The looped piano is very Rza like, and Rae laced it nice. I just wish Gza could have been on it.
8/10

14) Friday: I could have done without the beginning talking and shit, But the beat is great, Ghost would have MURKED this joint. But Rae was on point. The sample is nice as well.
9/10

15) The Table: Ft Masta Killa, Easily the best track on the album, My personal favorite. The beat is sad, dark, but emotional. I think that Killa outshined him on this joint though
10/10

16) Sneakers: You have raekwon talking about kicks, but NO GHOSTFACE? What. The beat is cool, and I could have seen Ghost and U-god on this one
7/10 for not having Ghost on it

17)Raw: A beat and a song, That Redman and Method should have had. BUT since they didn’t, This just ended up being the weakest song on the album
4/10

18)Pop shit: This joint is on some Swiss beatz shit, and a lame attempt to get Pop points. I could hear Eve on this, which is NOT a good thing
5/10

19)Heart to Heart: Dirty, Odb, should have been on here. I could hear him going crazy over this, With Cappa. Rae just didn’t sound right on this. And the beat is just ass to me. It almost sounds like he dissing Wu, but Im sure hes not.
5/10

20) Forecast: This beat screamed for Ghost, again, and again…No Ghost. This was and is a skipped song almost each time. But it’s a city shout out song.
6/10

21) Outro: A weak way to end the album, Seriously

Id give this a a c+

Reviving an old topic because I was listening to the album. Yeah.

This is a terrible review, not so much because of the opinions though. If you don't like certain songs that's fine. The review is terrible because you're knocking songs for lack of other artists. It's a Rae solo. It's not a necessity for him to have featurings. It would have been nice for a couple here and there, but he held songs like Yae Yo and Casablanca down fine. He didn't need Ghost. In fact, I think Ghost would have detracted from those songs. If I were to review, I'd go like this:

Yae Yo: Pretty good beat and nice intro to the album. Rae is probably at his best ever lyric and flowise in this song. 8/10

Casablanca: Same as Yae Yo, decent beat with great lyrics. 8/10

100 Rounds: Same as the other two songs as far as quality goes. At this point the beats start to sound a little repetitive. The song is probably worthy of 8/10 but at this point in the album it sounds more like a 7/10.

Real Life: Basically the same complaint as 100 Rounds. It's not a bad song, but the beats are starting to drone a little. They aren't bad at this point, but they are sounding too similar. 7/10

Power: The first bad track IMO. The beat isn't to interesting and the ACT aren't the best of features he could have had on the album. 5/10

All That I Got Is You Pt 2: Terrible track. Rae is trying to capture what Ghost did, but he's not Ghost. 3/10

Jury: Great track. The beat is different from what precedes it and just different in general. Rae drops some nice lyrics too. 9/10

Fuck Them: Bad beat, but Rae and Meth rap nicely over it. 6/10

Live from NY: Very good song. Good beat and Rae rips it. 9/10

My Favorite Dread: Some good storytelling from Rae as usual. 8/10

Friday: Another good storytelling track. 8/10

The Table: Classic track, one of Rae's best ever. 10/10

Sneakers: A change of pace for the album. Concept song as opposed to story track. Either way Rae does a good job and th ebeat is nice. 9/10

Raw: More ACT stuff. It's not horrible, but it's not particularly good either. Reminds me of the Bravehearts tracks that Nas has on his albums. 6/10

Pop Shit: I like this song. Rae rocks it pretty well, but it's nothing special really. 7/10

Heart to Heart: This just feels out of place. It's not terrible, but it really isn't Rae's chamber. 6/10

Forecast: This is just a track winding the album down. One long shout out. It's cool for what it is. 7/10

There were some low points definitely, but more often than not the worst stuff was just mediocre. The beats weren't the best but Rae repped on them. Honestly, I think this is Rae's best album lyrically.

Raekwon 5/5 on this one
Beats 3/5

Overall: 4/5

Best beat would definitely be Sneakers by Pete followed by The Table.

Raekwon's best lyrical performance.
