Of course, 50 gave a lot of energy in disrupting Game's reputation right after The Doc.

03-14-2006, 01:11 PM
cuz he was mad this album did better than his sophomore effort "The Massarce" which was wack anywayz

True that shit. Massacre was straight ass. But Documentary wasnt shit either really. I give it about a 6/10, all it deserves.

I like his mixtape releases better.

03-22-2006, 08:04 AM
50 cent says he wrote 6 songs on the documentary, and the game hisself admits 50 wrote 2

jus some food for thought.
this was a good album, top notch production, game aint the greatest rapper alive tho. if it wernt 4 da beats this album would prolly suck.
i hate the way he name drops all the time, but its still a good joint

03-23-2006, 03:07 PM
not a bad release at all, but i'd recommend "Untold Story" before this one from Game..

03-28-2006, 03:51 PM
7/10...this had energy. Lots of niggas came weak last year...including 50..but I think Game brought some good energy

Put you on the game = one of my favorite tracks..Timbo is an awesome producer. .

03-29-2006, 04:44 AM
5/10. Heard this a few times now and its mostly an uninspired cd. Name dropping, commercial beats and a bit of beef...............typical G-Unit release.

04-01-2006, 04:45 PM
album was great just due to the production........GAME's lyrics on this album are straight wack.......50's lyrics on HOW WE DO and HATE IT OR LOVE IT are way better than GAMES

interesting to see how the GAME's next album will be without 50's help

04-02-2006, 11:56 AM
6/10 , waz ok

04-18-2006, 03:01 PM
Wow, 5/6 out of 10? I feel by giving this an 8/10, or a 4/5 that I'm going to upsetting you people, but I don't see what a Blueprint, what a Stillmatic, what a Life After Death or what a Eminem Show has this that doesn't, nobody's saying it's flawless rhyming, but the production on here was so hard, I don't think anyone can judge this album fairly listening to it on their computer, I didn't really appreciate this album until playing it at high volumes in a car.

Hate It Or Love It, Put You On The Game & The Documentary especially are modern day classic tracks in my eyes. The only songs I REALLY don't like are How We Do(the rhymes on this are unforgiveable) and Don't Worry, Mary's voice sounds really boring on here, which isn't like her.

50 wrote about 4 hooks, not songs. I think those 4 are Higher, Westside Story, How We Do & Church For Thugs (maybe)... I'll write a review later

i like it, how we do, badass beat

04-21-2006, 01:46 AM
hate it or love it is sweet, a great beat

start from scratch is good, "westside story" is classic dre, and Havoc has an incredible beat in "don't need your love"

other than that, whatever.

04-22-2006, 09:34 PM
Game may suck as an mc but he is one charasmatic dude and this album has great beats to compliment that.

I give it 4-4.5 mics depending on the mood I'm in.

04-22-2006, 09:36 PM
i loved this album and like game a lot. i think hes better than most others in the mainstream right now.

04-24-2006, 05:44 PM
when I first got it I was looking for a West coast feel and really got it and loved it. Now, I hardly listen to it. 6/10.

05-03-2006, 01:23 AM
around an 8 on the strength of the beats alone. You really cant deny the album of being bumpable the whole way through. Lyrics are like a 6.5-7ish

Favourite track is Runnin, thats an ill beat.

05-03-2006, 11:27 AM
On tha real tho, u gotta say "runnin" was dope as fuck. Yayo came with it." I ain't nelly, put my desert eagles on gurrrrrl." Come on now. Outta 5 stars tho, ...... I give this album like......3. And thats bein nice.

05-07-2006, 05:54 PM
how can you people even listen to these kinds of artist? dont yall get fukin tired of the subjects on these CD's? Its like all the same yo, I was sick of this kind of shit when I was 15

05-13-2006, 10:15 PM
This was the last gangster rap album that I was feeling, The game has talent and im glad he distanced himself from G-unit.
I don't know if I can go back to this type of hip hop but for now it's time to fully move on.

Snoop Dogg
Dogg Pound
Ice Cube
Mack 10
Nate Dogg
Dr Dre
those were good times.

05-14-2006, 05:08 AM
The prod is Ok, but Game's performance is wack, he says the same shit during the album, i wonder how many times he say 'pac or Dre...
But this Lp is very good, 8.5/10

05-14-2006, 10:11 PM
someone listened to this album fully and discovered he says dre 40+ times or something, dun remember the exact number haha

it's a bloody classic that far exceeeds "all eyez on me" b.u.t. returns and keeps the poverty and working class urban social realism of "ready2die" -- only this time -- with a sample of hope added in the final mix down.

06-01-2006, 11:34 PM
Don't care to hear it all (heard the singles). My niece hates it. No songs for the ladies.

And yes, too much name dropping.

06-13-2006, 04:31 AM
7/10. some bangas and some not so great tracks.

07-06-2006, 10:28 AM
7/10 for me.

Some GREAT beats and Game has a lot of character on some of the songs but... it can be hard to listen to the album on the whole because Game can get really annoying, with his name dropping and Dr. Dre arse sucking.

oh yeah.

"I will do anything, but i wont fuck mariah.
even if she had ashanti butt naked in bed"

what. the. fuck.

there is something wrong with this guy.

07-07-2006, 03:11 PM
I don't really like 50 cent, the Game and G-Unit. But you guys are positive about this album. So I want to give it a try...

Which songs do guys recommand to certainly check out??

ima say i thought this was dope cd....beats are off the chain..love bumbing them beats threw my subs in the trunk

lyrics are ok....needs work flow is ok

more into the beats
..i give it a 7/10

08-26-2006, 03:04 PM
I gave this cd a go.... and was quite surprised. It wasn't very bad at al!

The beats are very good and Game has got a voice, that doesn't bore you fast...

The album however lacks good lyrics (it's all the same: cars, women, money, jewelry) and Game's flow is not very good.

I give this cd A 7/10.

It's good to listen to in the car.

(Sidenote: Don't check 50's or other Gay-Unit albums. they are all wack...)

I liked it,but to much name dropping on this shit

05-25-2007, 08:28 PM
Favourite track is Runnin, thats an ill beat.

Hi-Tek gave him one of the best beats I think he ever created
but the lyrics arent astonishing, nigga got talent tho

05-28-2007, 03:59 PM
The Game is SHIT!

06-11-2007, 04:35 PM
damn, the beats are just a masterpiece by themselves....

on the other hand, Game ain't really that much of a rapper, but still he's one of the best on the mainstream West Side (and i found this really funny)

07-02-2007, 03:31 PM
I loved this at first but listening to it now it sounds a bit stale.

it was good to see some1 outshine 50 for a while from his own click

01-15-2009, 08:36 PM
At the time it was easily the best album to come from the G unit camp, Listened to it again tonight and still like it a lot. The Game was definitely gifted the cream of the crop when it comes to beats for this CD. Church for thugs even has a little of a Wu Tang feel to it. maybe imagine INS or Ghost rappin on it.

Banger, 8/10.
