ribery did walk out on galatasaray because they paid him 2 weeks late, the fact the galatasaray only paid ribery his money and forgot about the other players due to massive debts, ribery still walked out. even if he goes to lyon the next year he will want to move to another club.

He's fucked his chances of joining any of the ig English teams I'd say. The big clubs already have whiney wingers to deal with in Reyes, Robben and Ronaldo to contend with. Must be a surname beginning with R thing..

Chelsea loses to the MLS allstars (who honestly were missing several of their better players because they have games tommarow and were not going to play back to back) 1-0.

If i were to rate every player on chelsea 1-10 i dont think id give anyone over a 5 or 6.

Best player on the feild was Dwyane De Resario by far. Had a nice goal.

Although I would like to see a totally fit Chelsea side play against a fit MLS team with all its players.

I didn't expect much, its our 1st pre season game, and we have only been training in American for 5 or so days. Plus, I heard we played Paulo Ferreira at center back. No not overly surprised we lost.

As long as it done the boys well with the fitness, thats all that matters preseason... but you dont want to lose them all.

FUCKING HELL! I have never been so dissapointed before. We ruled the game for 45 minutes, but the second half.. damn. You could even feel their goal coming. We'll have a fucking hard time down in Amsterdam. We were so close, and had so many great chances!!

(FCK - AJAX Amsterdam: 1-2)

K. Huntelaar 38'
Brede Hangeland 47'
K. Huntelaar 84'

PS Huntelaar is going to be in top-10 attackers in history if he continues like that.

Great goal by us though:

Haha i was about to write the game was over at 4-1 (it was the 82th) in favor of club America. But i wasnt sure, just in case something happend. And it did. Saviola gol(83), Ronnie dinho gol(87), Eto gol(89). Game ends 4-4. Sick game.

Lyon don't want to pay the 5% tax off the M. Diarra transfer to Real Madrid.

now somebody tells me what kind of nonsense is that ?

that tax is to be paid by the club which gets the money from a transfer, and has to be given to the clubs which trained the transfered player. ok.

so, in that case, Lyon must pay around 1 million euro. fine.

but Lyon refuse to pay and wants Madrid to pay the tax.

but technically, Madrid can't pay that tax coz it's Lyon's duty to pay it, all they can do is put more money for the transfer on the table. so it'll still be money for the transfer. so Lyon will still have to pay the 5% tax off that "more money on the table" shit.

frankly... somebody tells me coz i must be dumb or something...

Something Fishy About Tevez And Mascherano To West Ham Deal
August 31st, 2006 by Alan Hylands

And I'm not talking about the year's supply of jellied eels they've got in front of them either. The deal to take Argentina stars Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to West Ham United hasn't officially been confirmed yet but football discussion forums are white hot with the news and the potential implications, not only for West Ham but for the premiership at large.

What would attract two of the world's most sought after, young, talented international stars to Upton Park and the waiting arms of Alan Pardew? At first glance there is no logical explanation. West Ham had a great season last year after their promotion and surprised a lot of people (me included) with their classy football and solid defence that not only gave them a respectable league finish but also took them to the FA Cup Final.

I doubt that their Cup Final defeat in one of the liveliest and most enjoyable Cup Finals in many years will have been enough to tempt the two Argies though and despite having a foot in European competition with the UEFA Cup, I doubt that's the real pulling factor either.

My suspicions lead me to a somewhat shadier deal being cooked up between the players' club Corinthians, their owners MSI and another club with shady links to MSI and their owners. It's long been rumoured that Roman Abramovich is the money man behind MSI and the reason that a broke Brazilian club like Corinthians could afford players like Tevez and Mascherano in the first place. It leaves no doubt in my mind that Chelsea and Roman are behind this proposed season long loan deal for the two Argentinians to West Ham and it's only for one purpose - to acclimatise the players to London and the Premiership and see whether they are worth signing for Chelsea properly next summer.

There can be no other reason for this transfer to take place. Yes, West Ham are a good, homely club with some good players but for a club to sign Carlton Cole this summer and turn around and also get Carlos Tevez, it leaves me wondering what the motives are. I think I've worked out the obvious answer and it doesn't bode well for the rest of the Premiership.

We've seen Chelsea's strange buys and loan deals in the past with players like Smertin and Jarosik but this moves things to another level completely. Chelsea don't outright own these players or their club but their guiding hand can skew the transfer market that they can prevent any of their near rivals in the top five from having these players while they park them at a safe and respectable club, close but not too close, for a season to let them mature in the English game.

Something stinks around here and the smell is increasingly eminating from Roman Abramovich's direction.

Frontal Lobotomy
08-31-2006, 12:32 PM
The deal stinks like a week old fish, but I take my hat off to them. Hopefully We'll get in Reo Coker now instead of Hargreaves, its been a while since West Ham fans have had a reason to give us abuse heh

Roman Deini

MSI, who own the rights of Mascherano and Tevez, are gonna take over West Ham at the end of the season I heard. So their 2 most valuable assets were already transferred to them.

HANZO
08-31-2006, 03:54 PM
this is just way too fishy for me, two of the hottest properties in world football espeicially after the world cup move to west ham, who aint even in european competition. and corinthians are known for asking for high transfer fee's for their players. my turkish side besiktas offered 15million dollars for tevez and that got rejected. the club was gonna offer tevez 3million dollars a year. so for west ham to get him it would only be for much higher fee's.

Frontal Lobotomy
08-31-2006, 04:39 PM
Tevez and Mascherano clearly part-owned by Chelsea. Its not uncommon, but I'm not sure how MSI are involved, all thats certain was they own bh players' contracts as that was how Corinthians (who are around $20m in debt) were able to own them. They're alledegly being linked with a takeover of West Ham as well, but that's just what the fans have been telling me so that could just be breeze.

South Africa's ability to organize the WC 2010 is getting weaker and weaker...
Australia already announced that they would organize it if the FIFA agreed.

but i guess Morocco would get it if South Africa can't.

what can they build the stadiums or something.

i still dont understand why tevez and mascherano would move to west ham when so many other clubs were after them. west ham dont have the financial power neither do they have a big reputation. ofcourse theres someone else involved in this deal.

i also think gallas will do better at arsenal the environment at arsenal will suit him better i dont think players apart from portugese players get on well with mourihno.

Abramovich sold his oil companies. Milan yeah they making a profit, but Berlusconi makes more money with Mediaset etc then he does with Milan. But they need to buy players tho. You seen the age of their defense? Their keeper isnt reliable either. They sold Sheva and look who they got back? Milan should've made more noise on the transfer market but didnt. I don't think it's the best idea to speak too soon. On paper it seems an easy draw but that doesn't mean it will be, Milan always seem to make things hard for themselves at times and with all the injuries they have at the moment, I don't think everything will be straight forward.

We got a draw against Benfica at Parken, here in Copenhagen.. We should have scored a goal, as Benfica played all 90 minutes like they were satisfied with a draw. They had the biggest chance with a shot to the post in late second half. But atleast we got our first point in Champions League - ever! Grnkjr is injured now though, and he's out for atleast 8 weak. He will be greatly missed, as he is one of our most important men. But we still got newcomber William Kvist (probably the best throw in football - no joke) and Ghanesian national player Razak Pimpong to play left wing..

Well its his 3rd season so far and hes one of our main players, so yes. Hes a brilliant player, has the potential to be one of the best in his position and when he gets older, maybe he will be. Damn, we lost 1-0 to Celtic at Parkhead, because of our fucking need of a striker. We have Marcus Allback (he's aight, probably his worst match for fck yesterday) and Sweden national reserve Frederik-Useless-Berglund.

We had a really great defense, and they scored against us at a penalty that our keeper had his hands on. The judge was a jerk though, he killed the game with his flute, and cheated us for an HUGE penalty..

2 games, 1 point. We can and will beat celtic in copenhagen, beat benfica, and get a point in one of the two matches against Man Utd. Then we should be able to get the 3rd place in the group..

yeah the game was pretty boring, we had an amazing defense, and celtic didnt have many chances.. But our strikers and offensive play was so bad that we only had 2 shots from like 40m away.. one of the shots was aight, but that was it.. Funny, or actually sad, how one defender (Gravgaard) can create bigger chances in 5 minutes when he is put up as an striker, than our two real strikers did in 85 minutes..

English football is class, the premier league is the fastest, and strongest league on the planet. The main problem with the national side is that they're trying to build the team around Lampard, when he's clearly not that sort of player. Don't get me wrong, I think his distribution is class, but his shot to goal ratio is a joke, just because Jose loves him and lets him hog all the shots, it doesn't mean he should be allowed to do it for England. He's not the only problem though, a lot of that team take wearing that shirt for granted, there isn't any passion. Its not like our lads from the Republic of Ireland, we got humiliated by Cyprus but were able to show how much wearing that shirt means to the players, and with a squad with nigh 14 injuries got a draw with the Czechs, a game we should've won really

it won't happen, it has been strongly denyed by Marseille's staff. Actually Marseille has absolutely no interrest releasing him in the middle of the season since we're aiming a qualification in CL and that at the end of the season Ribery's price will be at least the same. But Im pretty sure he won't do another season in Marseille. This year he's been even more impressive than last year and than during worldcup, even if he's not been at his best lately.

Frontal Lobotomy
10-16-2006, 11:43 AM
As long as Ribery isn't linked to Man Utd again I'll be happy. He seems a bit of a misery. We've been linked to young Nani from Sporting, he looks the biz, even if he will be cup-tied if we were to sign him in january

i think its ribery's agent who keeps on making these claims. you always hear riberys agent saying that his client is not happy and arsenal want him.
and man utd dont need another individual player they already got c.ronaldo if they get nano too there will be a lot of individual runs down the flanks going on.

I hate these awards, the player who truly deserves it never wins. Flair over hard work always wins in these awards.

Out of that list I would choose either Villa or Cannavaro, both have had a solid 2006.

it's true a lot of players don't even deserve to be in the list... Lahm ? wtf ? Grosso ? errrrrrr...

Toni's been very very very solid. but he doesn't have the media in his pocket. so probably an Italian like Cannavaro or Pirlo.
