yeah Cesc will be good for Arsenal. i heard he a really cool person, who everyone respects on the team. which kinda makes sense why he the new captain.

Yeh for his age he seems the safest guy and his talent is undisputed. Great choice, it should boost his confidence even more. Besides, given the average age on the team, xesc is somewhat a veteran anyway lol nahmean?

Let's see what your team does tomorrow.

Milan did what they do best, outplay teams in the first half and sit back and defend (sometimes not very well, lol) in the 2nd half.

But still, world class players like Inzaghi and Ronaldinho come through in the end.

Just think what would have happened if Kaka played well in this game instead of slipping all the time on the wet pitch.

They say Milan are taking this competition seriously, but they are still playing every game without their first team. I would say they only played 3 of their first team in this game with Gattuso, Zambrotta and Kaka.

true, but they are already qualified for the next round though. and milan have a bigger squad, thats going to get bigger with beckham coming in. juggling everyone so they all get playing time is big on this team to keep everyone happy. for 6 positions they have a lot of guys...ronnie, kaka, pato, emerson, ambrosini, sheva, pirlo, gattuso, flamini, serdorf, borriello, inzaghi. those are all top class players for the most part.

UPDATE: It has since emerged that Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has given the 'OK' for his transfer to take place, having agreed both wages and a contract duration at the Bernabeu. All that is now needed is Ajax's confirmation of a sale. Apparently the Amsterda outfit will decide for sure within the next 48 hours, but it does seem extremely likely that Huntelaar will be a Madrid player sooner rather than later.

he'll probably used in the league when the business end of the champions league rolls around ... when does the MLS start anyway?

our problem for a number of years now has been depth ... we suffered in europe last year for playing the same 15 every week because injuries killed us

if podolski can't get a look in even as a midfielder - which he's doing for germany - donovan has no chance bar injuries/suspension

did anyone see Villa vs Everton on Sunday? Im a villa suporter, but that was one exciting as fuck game. Best finish to a game all season.

For those that dont know, Villa were winning 2-1, and Everton were hammering at their goals for the last 5 mins, my heart was in my fucking throat. Then in the last minute of injury time (93'd) they got their goal and i was fuckin rageing. Then Villa took the tip-off, and with 12 seconds to go, Ashely Young went up and scored to give Villa the match. Fuckin unbelievable ending. I was drunk and started jumping up and down in the pub and shouting, and as i was the only Villa fan there, i kinda stuck out, so they kicked me out. Pricks.

the problem with ronnie and kaka and a forward in the lineup is none of them play defense. and you really cant have 3 guys on the field who are not helping back at all. so that is forcing kaka to have to come back. i dont think he likes it. but i can understand where hes coming from. one year removed world player of the year and hes being asked to change how he plays to fit ronaldinho. but at the same time ronnie has deleviered the gods this year on more than several occasions so his spot is certainly justified. its just real hard to have two of that exact same player in your 11. england sufferes from that with lampard and gerrard. but really good, but they do the same things well.

Villa were lucky at the weekend against West Ham. REally poor game, especially after the 3-2 win at everton and the 4-1 win at Bolton. Still, a wins a win, and right now were third in the table (i know faggy united have two games in hand). Villa vs Arsenal on st stevens day (boxing day) gonna be a banger of a game hopefully. I hope villa play their attacking football they've being playing lately, and we all know how exciting arsenal are to watch when their playing well. My seat is booked in the pub.

If we win we'll go 6 points ahead of arsenel, but even if we dont we'll be on level points, and nobody below can catch us yet.

I'm a pretty big Fulham supporter... real nice result, nice to see Dempsey put up a brace... pretty big deal for an American to put up two on a major club like Chelsea.

If were talking goals vs goals then clearly not.
But you can't deny Keane has more options when on the ball.
Torres is pretty route one, he was bought to do a job
To which there are few who can match him in the scoring department.
Keane offers more versatility, but if they wanted to buy an out & out striker...
Keane wouldn't be my first choice, I do think they will formidable partnership though.
im an arsenal fan and cant believe the erattic run of results we have had this season. i really think its gonna be liverpool for the title.
Peace alucard, I think Arsenal have potential, but they need another "great"
Never been the same since Henry left, and what happened with "The Beast" ?
He seemed decent and suited the side.
Arsene relys on kids too much I think, only a matter of time
Before they show signs of inexperience.

With a couple well established players I think they could challenge.
But what with all the talk about the price of players...
I don't know when or if that will happen soon ?
I'd be surprised if they buy a player in this window.

Nice to see that others are starting to belive in Liverpool though.

^hopefully he gets a chance to form a decent partnership with 'Nando ^O^

They have showed signs of being on the same page...
The only problem is Torres is lethal, his goals are a certain
With Keane bound to play the more "provider" role, I just hope he gets his fair share
But being not that far behind Torres price wise, people are bound to talk about goals
The partnership is dope in my opinion, this reminds me of Crouch-
You watch what he does on the field "teamwise" he is immaculate, just lacks goals.
As Kene said : "Judge Me At The End Of The Season"

Tage

More so than anyone I can think of, just because he was knighted...

(which is why I laugh at the magnifing glass on Keane)
He works like a slave on the pitch, he never stops...
But do the math Rafa, we drew with Stoke at Anfield, and at their ground-
It's only gonna be harder to grind out a win, so why make it even more difficult
And leave Torres on the bench, as well as Keane ???
I swear if you played Torres from the start of the game, not only would be probably score
But he would inject some pace into the frontline, and if your gonna play only one striker
Then why not do it with the best one you have : Fernando Torres ?
Stoke's stadium looked more than unwelcoming, and you could tell Liverpool had an off-day.

Hopefully Chelsea & United draw.

i hope aston villa takes the mother fucka. f the pool, man u, chelski, and arsenal.

Aston Villa are definatly on the up, no question...
But as soon as someone takes out Ashley Young, or Agbonlahor gets injured
It's curtains for them = dope team, weak squad.

Tage

^yeah they do have a weak squad. agbonlahor and a.young are their main strike force... but they also have milner and carew... 2 great young players.

their entire squad is made up of young english players, and they have the most experienced keeper in the premiership. they will finish fourth with ease, imo. arsenal have slipped in form.

and yeah, i hope liverpool and rafa re-assess the fucking team selection before our next premier league match, we NEED wins for the title. the one thing we dont want to do is underestimate opponents at the bottom of the table. especially stoke and tottenham.

whers, where are you from?

i hope for a united chelsea goaless draw! :satisfy:

shit the bed! I wasn't expecting such a one sided game on Sunday.
Utd gave Chelsea a footballing lesson. Put the ball in the net 5 times (all legitimate goals) and made them look 2nd rate for most of the game.
Liverpool will be looking over their shoulder now.

i think chelsea need to blow up the squad. too many older players with no hunger in them.

its not like the milanese, where they have a lot of older players, but its more like a family there. they arent there for the money. they are their for the patch, the history, and the trophies.

chelski players just went for the money. now they got lazy, they dont want to work. all the old heads should move on the greener pastures. they need to do shit like man u. buy real good players younger, cheaper, and let them grow. instead of overpaying for players in their prime, on the downside of their prime, and just not having any fire in them.

aston villa winning that bitch would be sick. i dont want any of the top 4 to win. all gay to me. but if they had to pick realistically i would say liverpool. not because i think they are better or anything, but its about time they won.

anyone seen how good Barcelona have been playing lately. 13 points ahead in La Liga and Messi has been on fire. Such a good team to watch at the moment.

plus, its not over yet...

whitey

haha berba is a shit player...

be serious. its a different set up than he was in at tottenham. he was the focal point of the whole team. at man u there are so many other good players he doesnt get to shine like he used to. hes not a selfish player, he looks to make nice passes a lot, especially for a forward. if hes not always getting the ball back, he will look like hes not doing as much, because frankly he isnt. theres only 1 ball on the pitch. and when you got c.ron and rooney on your flanks...know what im saying.

im really really torn on that situation. i love kaka, no homo, dude is so nice. but at the same time with that money you could buy 4 really good players at normal transfer fees. plus im not saying kaka is replaceable but we do have pato, gourcuff coming back from loan, ronaldinho, ect. plus whoever they buy, weither it be david silva or whatever.

yea becks will solve all of milans problems...

looks like we have signed daniel agger for about 9 million euro. add that to the signing of Felipe Mattioni from Gremio (supposedly the new miacon). plus we got tiago silva coming in june. thats some major upgrades in milans weakest area. getting nesta back now, if that ever happens, would just be a bonus.

I'd say he was our best defender after Carragher.
