Well personally Hip Hop has fell off the cliff, if it is not something that sparks the brain to examine and think I cant deal with it. Hip Hop was suppose to be a movement so that each hood can tell the story of their condition, a news report and now it is just a comercialized money racket. Wu for Life!!!!!

Hell yeah shortys. All my old stuff stays in heavy rotation. Ladybiliquis is on point with the concept of Hip-Hop being a movement. Groups like Tribe Called Quest, De La, WU(obviously), NAS, etc, you guys know the groups im talking about. All i here is the club this, the club that, fuckin 20's and other bs. Damn near every video made looks the same. Dont get me wrong, i love women, but damn, im getting tired of seeing damn near naked chicks in every video, i have porn and my girl for that. I mean damn, i love eye candy, but after awhile candy will make your teeth fall out, you dont wanna have too much of a good thing. And dont get me wrong again, some southern hip-hop is cool, but all them muhfuckas sound the same. They dont provoke any thought. Shit im listenin to old shit like Jimi Hendrix and The Delfonics nowadays, be rockin Jimi all day sometimes.

But anyways, what up ladies!!! Nice to know females is reppin Wu too.
Peace

Ok then maybe I'm a little different, I'm a girl who like the wu a LOT ... but see I also like some mainstream hip hop cuz I have actually taken the time out to listen and see it for what it really is. I know there's a lot of garbage on the radio, but I don't fool myself by thinking that is all there is, and that being strictly about the so-called underground hip hop is the only logical alternative, cuz there's a lot of garbage in that camp too. Way more than the stuff that makes it thru to mainstream airplay.

Unless you are the creator (and even THEY don't know, if they have been programmed by the system to pump out ignorance in order to keep the people listening to it for sinister reasons coming straight from the top of the entertainment industry/corporate capitalist culture) you don't really know why anyone does anything.

That's why I have to be a conscious listener and check out everything and keep what I like and just not listen to the rest of it but be slow to judge because there's a time and a place for everything, and a reason behind the creation of any music and it isn't just the blind pursuit of profits.

I agree with these ladies. Not much to most of it, or anything, nowadays. It's kind of like the 5% that RZA wrote about in the Wu-Tang Manual. Seems like most people are asleep. I am really not the biggest hip hop fan in general but I know enough to know there iznt much out there like the Wu. By the way, not quite done with the Manual, but get you hands on it for sure. I was more than pleasantly surprized. Learned some shit I didnt know and everything from the layout to the storytelling is cappativating. By the way, where did you ladies get those banner things at the bottom of your posts? I like them, good choice and did any of you design them?

I'm glad somebody started a thread for female Wu fans because I was about to. I am a die hard Wu fan. But I want ask you ladies about something that was said at a recent Wu show I went to. One of the members (whose name I will not disclose) was doing a banging show. He then later said "Wu Tang is strictly for my niggaz. B---ches are not supposed to rock to Wu- Tang music. B---ches is for partying with after the show." I did not want to take it personal ( especially because I don't classify myself as a B--ch) so I ignored it. I support them to the fullest. But I'm still wondering if this is how they all think about female fans.

As for the state of hip hop right now, it is almost to the point of death. Hip Hop started right here in the Bronx and I can honestly say that it has lost it's roots and purpose. Not to say that it can't go worldwide because hip -hop started from people being oppresed and thats happening everywhere. Rza said in an article that the same 40 artist are being recycled over and over and the door is not open to hearing anything new. That's so true.

Don't get me wrong I did not let what he said ruin my night. Damn right I kept rocking. All in his face. It seemed like he was getting pissed at me because I was saying all the lyrics. I later took a pic with him and if you see his face it looks like he didn't want to. But I had to let him know that I went out of my way to come see him.

Yo , You're from long Beach. I was just out there in August. The day after the show. Cali is the Bomb!

So far the others members that I've met have been cool (Look for the pics soon). I just hope they appreciate and respect us because we appreciate and respect them and their music.

To Aqueous Moon: Definitely come to the NYC there is always something going on and the Wu members do shows here often.

Hey Ladies...it was nice to hear your comments. Much thanks. Looking forward to seeing some pics for sure. Living in Alaska I've never gotten to see any Wu shows live. Make sure to let us know how they go...from the ladies perspective. I would be very interested. I can live vicariously through you! Two thumbs up to you ladies.^O^

Amen.

And for the female that was talking about the Wu-Members comment, don't sweat it, it wasn't directed at you, it was directed at "bitches". As long as you a Wu-Fan cause you like them for their lyrics and not because your boyfriend likes them, or some other reason, than you aint a groupie bitch, so you shouldn't sweat it.

I believe he made that comment when he realized I was not a groupie to make me upset. I was pretty much the only girl there who knew his lyrics.

I do'nt want to slander one of my Wu-brothers by using his name. But it's not Ghost.

nah - Ghost wouldn't even roll like that - He'd treat you like you put yourself out there.

Man - I listen to old school hip hop - Some new stuff - Common, jay, nas, Joell Ortiz - C- ray of course, Wu - Beyata - mos def got a new fan, etc. I'm not much for the radio unless its K-Slay drama hour - ya heard! Anywho - I spit - I write spoken word... all that good stuff.

The state of Hip Hop rye now is that unfortunately almost anything talking nonsense can get airplay while true artist like Talib and Common still struggling to be heard (they get no airplay royalties). Its pretty sad. If I had it in me, I'd start my own radio station, and it'd be strictly the realest. NY is reknown for 5o cent radio - uugh!

Unfortunately, many think 50 is the best thing that came out of New York. Those people are certainly def, dumb, and blind. I know for sure he is a fake gansta and he is not getting my $10 in the movie theatres either.
