the klan has opinions about blacks. i think they have other facts at their disposal than what leads them to those opinions.

Actions do and those are based on conclusions.

the klan has opinions about blacks. i think they have other facts at their disposal than what leads them to those opinions.

I didn't say "proper conclusions". Simply conclusions.

opinions are interpretations through user friendly glasses, facts are what happened

thats right

what are opinions?

opinions are the perspective of what you pick up throughout life

your version of everything that exist

even your own facts can be just your opinions

the way you see the fact is different from how someone else sees the fact

we interpet words and visions differently which causes us to have misunderstandings which lead to wars and death

remember, death is caused by something that does not belong, getting into the stream, blocking the natural flow of things, not allowing the light to get to where its needed, preventing growth and understanding

people believe in certain things because of certain situations...

fals beliefs can be recognized the moment they appear but later they may develop into something that sound true, they're not tho

everybody should print this out and tape it to their ceiling over their bed

a blend of information based on feelings/emotions.

kinds of opinions and self's being:
politics - at it's costliest
philosophy - at it's loneliest
psychology - at it's darkest

two drops of two sense that hold weight like half a mind that counts half a brain as two cents.

Opinions are things people like to have to make theirselfs feel like they're important. Some people have opinions to relate to other people, but only to find out they share less than a few opinions.

i read this piece once that said people confuse themselves with their ideas

what the piece suggested was that when people discuss something
they get too involved - physically

what they do not realize is that it is their ideas that are in question
not their physical self

at the end of v for vendetta --spoiler--
the dude is in a scrap
and even tho he gets shot to shit
he doesnt die

the villain asks him 'why wont you die?'
the dude says - 'behind this mask there is an idea - and ideas dont die'

i am taking the long route of asking this -

why are people so attached to their opinions?
why will they resort to violence to defend them?
why do some opinions and states of mind cause people to block out counter-opinions and possibilities?

what does it require for a closed-minded person to become open-minded?

Because of what I said in my previous post...

Opinions give people a feeling they matter in life/society. When their opinion gets crushed by another, their life becomes meaningless.

why arent people equipped to handle a meaningless life?

we are getting into some existentialism here --

peoples opinions are always tainted by their belief system
no matter what u see or witness
parts of ur mind will edit out what u have seen or heard.. while the data is being proccessed, when u recall what u see or heard
u will edit out, what u do not agree with

opinions are. well garbage, unless they are valued or with factual backing
but still, people have opinions to create a topic to chat on.

peace

opinions are what we are. Its how we see things.

some peoples opinions are well off some are on point.

Your life leads you to your opinions. Depends what road you have taken in life.

People somtimes cant take a counter opinion as there life led them there and they dont want to admit they have been on the wrong road.

somtimes they cant take it, they dont want to re write what they thought was true as they think there will be a time when its set and they dont need to learn no more.

but this is just opinion.

like 6 billion people

or
144 000?

is it still an opinion if i agree with what you say?

Salaam (Peace) to all...

The Way Eye See It, a person's "opinion" is his or her "individual interpretation" of what he or she has experienced (read, witnessed, heard, felt, tasted, smelled, etc.), which may or may not be in accord with the actual truth of the thing experienced.

One thing is for certain... No opinion is worthy of serious consideration if it cannot be demonstrated to be aligned with natural, observable phenomena (Truth).
