Who has the best overall body of work besides the Wu?
Arguments can be made for a lot of people, I'll name some that come to mind...
Gang Starr
Rakim
Redman
Masta Ace
Thoughts?

Redman for sure. every single album he's put out has been ranging from excellent to good. "Doc's Da Name" is probably his shittiest album but it's still better than most other shit.

Nah man, I just wanted to avoid the issue of the Wu-altogether lol. Firstly because it's not the Wu section and I'm sure discussion on their back-catalogues can go on in their, and secondly because every on this forum originally signed up because of the Wu, so their opinion is bound to be a little bias.
As for the other people you vote for, yeah I mean their whole catalogue. So for when I said Rakim, that includes the stuff when Eric B was with him, Paid In Full, Don't Sweat The Technique etc., and by Redman I'd include his Blackout CD with Meth, etc. you get the point.
Thanks for the responses so far people. DMX? Not too sure about that one. I left my #1 MC Nas out of my names in my original post because I think he's had a couple of weak albums, whilst Rakim, Masta Ace, Gangstarr and to a lesser extent Redman, have VERY little poor stuff. DMX is in the same boat as Jay-Z & Nas for me, some classic(or near classic) albums, but a lot of pop-orientated, very commerical songs that are very played out. Not hating on him, just saying I don't think he's that consistent.

I find every Mos Def album class, aswell as Kweli.
I find it hard to see how people can put nas and jay z on their lists with so much dodgy material coming from them over the years. Straight up Masta Killas the only one from the clan with the most consistent discography (solo and clan albums), and Ghost i suppose. Cormega gets a mention aswell, couple of real classics in there.
