I don't mean, who was the last artist out who's songs you were feeling, like a Lupe, a Papoose or a Budden, but who was the newest artist out who BLEW YOU AWAY with their album?

Only one name comes to mind for me, he's got his faults, but Eminem after The Slim Shady LP(I didn't know about Infinite until getting into the internet), who is your artist like this?

only dude that has blown me away has been Vakill, i copped The Darkest Cloud when it 1st came out on wax then i copped the actual cd, everything the dude spits is literally crazy, and his production by the molemen is nothing short of heat, the darkest cloud barely ever leaves my cd player, and his new LP Worst Fears Confirmed is nasty too, id say on the same level as the darkest cloud but the production is a bit different this time around from the molemen, peace

Hearing Big L's freestyles for the first I was like wow this guy is ridiculous

Common while hearing his first 2 albums he was just insane.

Poetic on Gravediggaz 6 Feet Deep album. Likewise for RZA and Frukwan as well.

GZA on Liquid Swords. Lyrical artistry right there.

RZA on 36 Chambers. He was at his best as an MC during that early period

Nas on Illmatic. No explanation.

Notorious BIG on a couple tracks. EX Flava In Ya Ear remix

Jay-Z during some points on Reasonable Doubt.

DJ Premier and most of his beats on Gangstarr's Daily Operation and Moment Of Truth

RZA on all of the classic albums he conducted.

Ghostface Killah on Supreme Clientele notably "Nutmeg, Mighty Healthy, Childs Play"

But to the last artist to blow me away i'd probably go with.......MF Doom, beatwise.

I'm a catch hell 4 this one but whatever. Lil' Wayne on tha carter one an two. This was one cat that I never thought would amount to squat. I'm 26 so I done watched from the point where he first entered and I have to say- He's killin em out there! An like my sig say- Fuck what ya think. That is if you just tryin to come with a weak(or no) rebutle.

^ i won't hate on that. i heard a few tracks from the carter 2 that were nice, i never liked cash money except for weezy, he's decent. and as for me i gotta go for Pap! Papoose is killing the streets right now, i like him cuz he has alot of originality to his shit, it's not just bang bang music. also i'm tryna get into apathy.

Fucking Haters.

Last new artist to blow me away was when I listened to a local cat, Intellekt. His cd is amazing, its better than almost everything I've heard within the last 2 years.

But I only just started listening to Chino XL, and the first few tracks I heard him on seriously blew me away. He's incredible.
