the vestax cost too much compared to technics, and i never saw a turntable do a better job, last longer than a technics.

go for technics, they go for 700$ a pop tho

if you a beginner, start off with a numark pack it's bascially your best bet and affordable.

after that you can sell em or trade em for some technics

well i would only be a beginner but i plan to stick at it and practise everyday without fail, there aint alot to do around here so it would keep me occupied.

could someone PM me if they know a bit about DJing (tekunique) i got a few questions etc.

hmmm,

I know technics SL 1200 are famous, but I noticed you have (in the category of SL 1200 model) MK1, MK2, ...

what's the difference between those MK's, and how many different SL 1200 do you have ?

peace!

mk1 is discontinued, mk2 is a better version of the mk1. better motor drive, better shock resistance, and slier crossfades got added

Technics kid. Straight up and down. Not to insult the Vestax decks, because it's a ill piece of equipment as well. But like previous commentators have stated, it depends on what you want to do If you plan for just scratching, then the Vestax is a great choice. If you you plan for an all around arsenal of skills, beat matching, scratching, juggling, doing parties, and entering sho' nuff competitions/battles, then the 1's and 2's ar ethe way to go. The body is also WAY stronger than a Vestax deck as well.
Personally, I think the Technics is ideal to start with, because the touch requires some getting used to, whereas the Vestax deck will spoil the hell out of you. To each his/her own tho.
Peace
