okay if someone could help thatd be great, the situation is as follows:

i am trying to bring files from first computer to my second computer, so i plugged in the first computers hdd to the 2nd comps tower, i plugged in the big thick cable part, but is there anything else im supposed to plug in because it wont boot it, it just comes up at the start WINDOWS XP and does nothing? can anyone help out plz, thankx.

u probably have 2 change the jumper settings on the back of the hd

put it to slave setting if you are plugging it in the middle of the ide cable

to make it easier or if u cant do that... jus burn shit onto DVD... couple of those discs u should be set
