Ok, so I thought I would DL some of these Southern rappers that are popular right now....dl'ed LIL WAYNE's "THE Carter 2" to see what the deal was.....and its actually pretty good......I was like is this the same dude who I heard before on the shitty CASH MONEY shit......I was kinda shocked......because I hate these young cats from the south like Young Jeezy, Mike jones, etc...

but this CARTER 2 album has some dope "new york" sounding beats on it, not the booty Mannie fresh shits, plus LIL WAYNE has adopted a southern jay-Z type flow......I was like what the fuck?, this cant be the same lame ass dude that I remember lil wayne being....

If you were like me, and some dude told me that the Lil Wayne album was good, I would be like what the fuck is this dude talking about, lil wayne's a chump......but honest give the 'THE CARTER 2" album a listen, you may be as surprised as I was, its actually one of the better mainstream albums I have heard this year....there are some border-line dope songs on here....honestly

IMO Tha Carter 2 is overrated. I played it out after 5 spins :/

500 Degreez and Tha Carter (1) are waaaaaaaaay better than this album.

Yeah, Tha Carter 2 was gettin alot of hype, so i checked it out a few months ago, and I liked it. Wayne isn't the best lyricist, but he's not bad, and I liked alot of the beats. solid cd

Great record. Has a better Eric B and Rakim reference than 500 Degreez.

Jay-Z inspired, but he doesn't really sound much like him. I tryed to hate the record, but it's just too good.

Im a big Lil' Wayne fan and its a good CD but after awhile it gets old and the songs seem to all sound similiar. "Shooter" is the best song, real unique. You could maybe say The Carter, 500 Degreez, and Lights Out are better but they are all in the same ball park.

Lil' Wayne is true though, worth the money.
