i keep getting reminded of this
- maybe im too dumb for it to sink in -

but
it has been brought to my attention yet again that some people simply do not look at this planet being in any sort of dire or urgent situation

what this suggests
is that everything will have to get progressively worse

more suffering
disease
poverty
fucked weather
war
conflict
etc

until enough people wake up and look out the window and say to themselves
'holy fuck this place is fucked beyond my wildest imagination
i need to do something about it or get the fuck out of here'

we get to watch things get progressively worse

am i understanding this correctly?
or is there some error in the reasoning?

It only took what, 300 years of western industrialisation to fuck the planet over? Good job there aren't another 300 to see how bad they can really make it huh

the reason why no one sees it is that we are taught to never reason beyond our own surroundings. when you're relaxing at home in front of the t.v with your beer and nachos, do you ever think about the people in the world that would die if they ate your food, because it's too rich for them to eat because they're starving?
