How do you know if you a backpacker??

What consitutes a backpacker? and am I a backpacker because my fav artist is Wu,Common, Mos Def, Talib, KRS One, Redman, Roots, Jae Millz, old Outkast and Triple 6, ATCQ, and De La Soul???

Its complicated though cuz i listen to mainly underground, however i dont consider stuff like Gang Starr, Nas, CNN, BIG L, PUN, Wu Tang mainstream. To me that kind of stuff is underground. The reason why i say that is because people in california dont even know know who BIg L or Gang Starr is anymore. So with that said, I also like Biggie, Jay-Z, Kanye, Dre, Snoop, Clipse, Neptunes, Xzibit etc etc..
