what ur referring to is a logical fallacy formally known as "only counting the positive hits"

its a logical error in reasoning where an individual observes and notices a phenomenon and makes note of it, but all the time when the phenomenon does not occur the individual does not make note it!

the times when u look at a clock and see nothing special, are quikly disregarded and forgotten , however only the "positive hits" are remembered and communicated!

this mechanism is the same mechanism that allows "prayer" to work.

the misses are always underplayed and forgotten, only the hits are remembered and communicated
