as most of u guys already know.....my recording quality SUCKS. I need some ideas of what equpment i can purchase that is copmatible witha gateway 2000 with windows xp, but does not cost undgodly amounts of money.

any help is appreciated.

by editing u mean on the mixing program right? I use a free download program "Audacity" with lame encododing for mp3's.

^ cooledits prolly the best program that you can use

^ you really want to be saving as 'wav' or 'aif' as opposed to lame encoded mp3s, then convert to mp3 after. That way you have a high quality un-compressed version of your tracks from which to make all subsequent copies for the net etc... only use mp3s if you have to, as you lose a lot of detail saving to that format, and always record to an un-compressed format 1st regardless of whether it is for the net or not.

yeah i got cool edit pro 2.0 with the serial and everything, hit me up on AIM at yeahduderad - ill hook you up, its a really good program, thats what i use
