View Full Version : Common's New Album Finding Forever

I saw a picture of him and Kanye West in the studio in a magazine recently working on Common's new album coming out in September. I think this album is gonna be gay like his last 2 albums. I haven't liked Common since Resurrection album anyway.

Common's just too much for some people. Personally I dig pretty much all his shit and he puts on a DOPE live show.

Great news. I hope they keep a similar type of formula as BE was. Although BE was a little monotonous, there are still tracks from that album that I play quite a bit.

I go on an off with him. I want to hear him over rougher beats and rhyming like he did on Soul By The Pound Remix. That song is a classic banger.

Hell yeah that's what i'm talkin about. I wanna hear him rhyme over harder beats like he did back in the day instead of rhyming over these corny ass beats Kanye West is giving him. Common will never go back to the days of Soul By The Pound remix and Breaker 1/9 remix. He'd rather do gay songs like Come Close and Go hahahahahahahahahahaha.

Kanye did a good thing for Common. No pun intended.

i thought be's only flaw was its length cuz i thought it was a great quality lp, and dilla did some magic type shit on BE yo...also common has grown lyrically, back in the ressurection days he was kind of experimentin lyrically, so be was dope

he aint that complex like some of yall say
but he DOES touch on alotta levels...BE is a great example
i say if he an Kanye are tagteamin this one...is gonna be dope regardless

a king wit words

Dirty Knowledge

Second King of Words. Touches the soul of anybody regardless of culture because he speaks power, wisdom, knowledge and truth. Truth of self and of BEing, because what Common is and has gone thru he shares and that's what poetry and music is all about. His views on women are very strong and some people can learn from them. Dunno if Common has fallen off, because he's always been this way. He always has a few tracks on his albums which have twists to them to keep you listening. Few commercial joints for the radio, but commercial in a real way.

I thought Be needed maybe 1 or 2 more tracks with a different kinda vibe to keep it interestin for the longer term.
