i wanna start making beats,ive downloaded fruity loops a few times but tryed using it and couldnt work it out and got frustrated so i deleted it..anyone know any other programs to make em..id wanna sample tracks,so i could grab a tune from Scarface or someshit and turn it to a rap song but have no idea..anyone willing to let me know of programs etc??

you dont have a keyboard yet u wanna make beats? youre not gonna have any fun dook.....and some programs are : acidpro, soundforge, fruityloops, etc....

fruity loops is the easiest one by far. you should try it again sometime. it samples but it's real shitty compared to getting even a cheap sampler.

cause when i tried fruity loops,i couldnt figure outhow to change the sounds n shit in the middle of the song,and i only knew how to use there pre made drum loops and sounds in the program n shit,so i had nothing to work with.

Get Reason and a midi keyboard. But understand the program may take some time to learn all its intricasies (sp?) It takes some time to learn how to utilize all u have to work w/ but its definetly a good program for the money. I wanna say the latest version will run you about $400-$500. You can then couple that w/ Recycle to cut up samples like what you where talking about.

i just import audio from cds and sample it
no midi at all just other peoples records
i aint made a beat in months tho

Reason is a really ill program, i know a few people who use it, only got positive things to say bout it..
i dont know how to use it... but if you use enough time wit it, shit is gon be tight

^and pratice is really the key. A program might be tight as fuck but if you don't know what you're doing...........................then keep praticing till thats not the case anymore.

practice, if you get annoyed with fruity loops, dont even bother getting reason or cubase, you just gotta mess about with them, dont be afraid to experiment. if you see a button, or option, click it n see what happens.

^the FUCK are you talking about??? El-P Fantastic Damage has some of the most amazing beats ever IMO. Did you hear his tracks on the new Mr. Lif album??? I guess he's just an aquired taste.
