personally, these guys are my 2nd fav hip-hop group, the Wu been 1st!

Feedback was an quite an alrite album, Red Hot was THE best track on the album, the rest of the album doesnt live upto it!

but I'd say Feedback is their worst album so far, its not wack just my least fav.

1.J5 LP
2.Power In Numbers
3.Quality Control
4.Feedback

i went to go see Cut Chemist at a local club called Welly Club, i got two pics with dude, 2 signatures, my arm, t-shirt n trainer.

i was wrecked but i spoke to him, cool guy. i asked him why he left J5, he just walked off.haha...oops!

oh and i never understood why its J5 and not 6, i know Cut Chemist used to be in Ozomatli, im guessin its either cos they were J5 before Chemist joined or cos Chemist & Nu Mark combine as one unit. 4 mc's and 2 dj's as 1?

Yeah, I'd say it's not as good as their other albums, still tight though, especially compared to most shit in '06. I like "Where We At" and "In the House" on there.

"power in numbers" is their best album imo.

havent got feedback yet, but i'll check it out. chali2na and zakir are two oif the best contempory mc's.

btw:

- The group's name was actually a joke from Chali-2na's wife, who walked in on one of their recording sessions and said, "You all trying to sound like the Furious Five but you sound like the Jurassic 5."

lol dunno if this is entirley true though.

Not big on them but they are listen-to-able. i mean I think they are just the average rap group.

J5LP is just something soo unheard of IMO, aint no-one in the rap game comin with the same style as they did!

as for Feedback, i think they're TRYING to appeal to a more commercial audience (hence the track 'Radio')
but Red Hot is a fuckin banger!!!!

AND people who actually listen to J5, ya know tracks like 'Swing Set' & 'Acetate Prophets'. I can hear that the tracks have been made in two parts, i know its credited as produced by Nu-Mark & Cut Chemist too, but i just wondered if anyone knew which half of the tracks was produced by which Producers/DJ's?

Hell yeah Ozomatli are worth picking up although there arn't that many rap tracks but their albums are all dope believe.

ps. I saw Ozomatli perform once, they where the shit the crowd went insane, even when the show was over Ozomatli went outside and carried on.

It's hard to place them because they kind of do everything yet few sound like them.

Probably the most common blend they use would be hip hop, Latin (Salsa/Merengue etc) and Funk. That to me is the typical Ozomatli sound I suppose.

If you saw the group they look like a latin band only they've got a dj and guest mc's as part of their set.
