Okay this sounds like 2000's version of MOBB DEEP's "Hell on Earth"....or something, this album sounds like nothing out in the hip hop market place right now....its a hard album (especially by 2000 standards), Pharral brought the dark beats for this one man....

I've been hyped for this album for awhile now. Should be one of the best releases of the year.

if you want to hear a hot track off the new CLIPSE album....dl "Chinese new Year"......its hot

the whole album is pretty raw, NEPTUNES actually bring grimy Neptune beats.....its like a whole new sound, totally going against the grain of whats happening in hip hop right now.....this is the album the East coast needs

Man I skipped past half the songs after 30 seconds, how this got a XXL is beyond me, this is borderline horrible. Neptunes beats are sounding like freezing NES games.

"Ride Around Shining" bangs hard however, Wamp Wamp is dope, Keys Open Doors, Mr Me Too...the rest i dont care if i ever hear again

they're beats are very original they have carisma(not heavy Wu like, slick rick shit, but more so then a lot of rappers), they're rhymes are alright but its mainly cause they make killer tracks. Listen to Hot Damn, Grindin, and Keys Open Doors. I don't have access to too many of thier tracks and forgot a lot of the first album but theres a bunch of dope shit.

in that world where everybody can be a rapper, hearing a tight flow and uncommon voices is refreshing. that's what Clipse bring to the rap game, and that's fresh.

no disrespect dude, i dont see the comparison to mobb deeps hell on earth, and if you are comparing beat wise, the neptunes production sounds absoutley nothing like havoc's and maybe im crazy but i hear everyone saying the beats are hard, hard? i dont see it, anyway i respect your opinion im just giving mine, i gotta listen to it more

i know. I read the XXL review and it mentioned how its straight up east-coast rap over dark, BOOM-BAP beats. THe album sounds fairly good, but it aint no boom-bap shit thats for sure.

I'm sayin....
70% of the beats sound like Sega Genesis
Not CLOSE to Hell On Earth status

What I love about these dudes (no homo) is that they're old school and mainstream at the same time, which is crazy. Thier lyrics are as intricate as older shit, and simaeltaneously, they're able to harness commericial energy at the same time. The Clipse are going to be trademarks of Hip-Hop in our generation. Mark my words, these cats are legends.

Yeah, I don't exactly see the similarity to Hell on Earth, but the beats are still sickenin'. What's wrong with Sega Genesis type beats anyway? You ever hear "Glaciers of Ice"? Pharell did an nice job with these beats. Don't hate.
