what album sticks out to you as the best of 06 so far? considering theres a month 1/2 left till this year, i dont know of much albums that are coming out that could compete for LP of the year, but i could be wrong (clipse, Sean P!!!)

I say Ghostface "FishScale"
Ghost came through with a complete album from begining to end, i know some people who shit on the single "Back like that" but i thought it was a hot track, not Wu, but still a solid track. Most noticible track for me is probably The Champ and Be Easy, and i cant forget 9 mili Bros with the whole Wu!

other albums that i thought were great this year
Kenn Starr "Starr Status"
AZ "The Format"
BCC "The Last Stand"
Bronze Nazareth "The Great Migration"
also liked the Murs & 9th and the Roots Def Jam shit, masta killa lp was dope too

got to go with mf grimm here. american hunger is easily the best album of this year!

you can easily see how much effort has been put into nearly every song on there never mind all 3 disks as a whole

if somone makes a better album than american hunger then they have created hip hop perfection

if you havnt checked this album out then buy it now you wotn regret it

The Roots - Game Theory
J Dilla - Donuts
Ghostface - Fishscale

They are three of my favourite, but theres been loadsa good shit this year, and hopefully there'll be more.

The Shining by J Dilla was good aswell, so was 8wn/Novakane by Black Sheep... and Madlib's Movie Scenes vol. 1-2.

I dont think the best has come yet for 06 but so far 4:21, Doctor's Advocate, Blue Collar

Unforgiven
11-19-2006, 01:54 PM
Doctors Advocate was wack.

The Deluxe 2CD Servants In Heaven, Kings In Hell, hands down. The Last Stand is also there.

Snoop Dogg - The Blue Carpet is pretty consistent.

The Game - Doctors Advocate is quite good too.

Still think that best albums aren't out:

Talib Kweli - Ear Drum
Mos Def's cd
Immortal Technique - Middle Passage

Biggest dissapoint will be:

Nas - Hip hop's dead....

After hearing a few songs of that album, I'm afraid it will be a very dissapointing effort.

I like it, made me think it was 96/97 again, easily one of snoops best efforts in a long time.
