View Full Version : it's 2006 and hip hop is back
it looks like towards the end of the year rappers have really gotten back on their grizzly. In the beginning it was pretty gay, but im find myself interested again. Game's album is on some straight 94 shit, and my boy told me he literally has no reason to skip a track on Jim Jones's joint(except for Mr.Cool) which is still solid as hell. I haven't heard Jay-z but he rated it low and if snoops can fuck with that Vato joint then im gonna be busting nuts for weeks over it (yes homo)

You sound very optimistic, but im afraid I don't share your enthusiasm, I think it is still far to early to tell, I would like to see how 2007 turns out before I start making any type of statements.
true, but damn everyones on a winning streak and it looks like they are focused on making classics not just hit singles, if cuban linx drop 2007(wont) plus that Gza joint, and all the other rappers out there keep it up then shits gonna be lovely
yeah man definitely an exciting year for hip hop!!

had high hopes for this year, nothing has been really impressive, not really anything ive heard is 8/10 or above. some dope tracks, but no great albums apart Bronze's album. snoops album is ok, a far bit of filler, games album isnt bad alot of name dropping as usual.
AZ's album is impressive, best of the recent releases.
