View Full Version : Post your DS/Wii Friend Codes
Wuddup again peeps. Those of you on here who have a Wii and / or DS. Throw ya Friend Code up so we can play shit together. Don't have too many games right now I get down online with on the DS, but I do have Tetris DS and Metroid Prime Hunters for anyone that's got them and wants to get down with me. Here are mine.
DS: Tetris - 779197-733021
Wii: 1319-4087-3247-1075
To get yours off the DS you have to be in a Wi-Fi compattable game, in it's wi-fi set up options there should be an option that says, "Confirm Friend Code" or something to that effect.
To get it off the Wii just go to the message icon (the envelope in the lower right corner) and open the Address Book, and the console number is the one you post.

Don't mean to hijack your thread but I have a few questions about Wii.
1) Is it free to play online?
if so..
2) Is that why you have friend codes and not player tags?
1. Yes, it is free to play online.
2. No, the reason for the friend codes (at least what I think) is to try to avoid adults exploitation of children. If you don't know someone's friend code it doesn't mean you can't play online, it just means that when you do you'll always be matched up with random people.
Edit: Also, once you have your friend code added to someone else's system, be it DS or Wii, they will see your gamertag, you actualy have to set that up in the system itself. My Wii and DS are both named after me.
DS Codes:
Mario Kart - 107-462-989-194
Metroid - 2062-4723-7663
Animal Farm - 0430-3848-1786
Contact - 2406-0697-8352
i might be one of the worst players ever on metroid, but i can handle my business in mario kart
Yeah, I just rwalized that each game has a different frend code. Once I get mine back I'll post the rest too.
Na, not yet. I was trying to hold out for Diddy Kong Racing but I guess I should cop that already :)

Aren't the friend codes a little bit unfriendly. I think it should help if Nintendo somehow updated it so there were some kind of gamer tags. Names are always a bit easier to remember.
But that's just my two cents.
I agree, I also see Nintendo's side of things too. Even though the stigma of being a Kiddy Console company still hangs over their head, they know that that's the majority of their sale base. So in an effort to avoid child exploitation they set up the friend code system. It's a lot harder for people to remember a 16 digit code as opposed to a screen name. A pain in the ass I agree, but at the same time nessicary.

y0o... Bloohook... i copped the DS... and got elite beat agents... how does this friend code thing work?
Word up :) We will have to get down on some games once we get one that we can both play. But it works like this.
Go into your online section of the game you're playing, it's usually labeled Wi-Fi or Multiplayer. From there you should see an option to show your friend code which will then display the 12 digit number. From there you can either give it to an actual friend of your who also has that game or you can do like most of us and just put your code up on web forums and wait for random people to add you.
