Slick Rick? I don't know.

Vinia Mojica for me, if you're talkin' vocalists. She sung on too many classics, from Tribe Called Quest, to Del La, to Pete Rock & C.L. and those songs wouldn't be what they are without her.

My second would have to be Blue Rasberry for "Heaven and Hell" and other songs, Tekitha too for "Walking In The Darkness.

1>Blastmaster KRS-ONE (on a level of hiz own)

2>Tupac/Chuck D (the two closest to the Teacha'z level)

3>Immortal Technique/Scarface/RZA/ICE CUBE/JAY-Z/NAS (Technique iz getting there,Face iz the King of the South- not T.I,RZA doez important work for the culture,CUBE- been droppin music w/ substance since NWA,JAY-Z is doing some interesting thingz now w/ Bono, the U.N. and Africa. I hope he keeps movin like that, and Nas has a powerful potential also>

What's with all the Nate Dogg love?

I hate Nine's voice. I just couldn't get into that.

I don't know if I have #1 favorite, but Del tha Funkee Homosapien is up there.

OMG! I aint ever opened this thread untill now and right now I'm listening to "The Score" so I was just gonna open it up and put Wyclef , just to be a smartass. Well , I took a second to see what started the thread first and.....I gotta say that I am impressed with the cosmos and life in general. When the hell is there gonna be a new Fugees album? I thought that they already got back together. Remember BET awards a few years back? sup?

ghost in his "whiney singing" phase lol.

are you talking about singer voice, or MC with the best voice.

Redman has a dope voice, and can sing...

Emcees wit sick voices......The Game-for sure
AZ-that voice is so greasy, suits his raps well
Method Man
Mos Def-For singing aswell (Umi Says is sick imo)

12-07-2006, 08:36 AM
rakim and nas got great voices, low and calm

ghost has an extraordinary voice, which helps him a lot for doing "emo" parts in his songs (i can't go to sleep.. crazy..)

i think every (good) rapper with a typical voice has an advantage on others, on rappers you dont recognize from the second they start rhymin

Emcees wit sick voices.....

^^^This is a better title for this thread, which I think was the author's true intention, it sounds a little better than "best voices" but means the same thing. With that said, my vote goes for Rakim and Canibus.

Canibus brought the grimy, ruffnes and energy in his delivery in a similar way to Onyx, but he was waaaaay better lyrically, which is why I say him instead of Onyx. Both Ra and 'Bis brought a combination of great lyrical ability and a dope voice in their work.

I actually meant as in singers such as Lauryn, Tekitha, Bule Raspberry but y'all turned it into a new thought.

Common & Cormega got sick voices!

I actually meant as in singers

Okay, that's cool too. I listed my fav choices of those on page one of this thread.

When it's about voices, I got a big trio:

1) Rakim
2) U-God
3) Ice-T
